Any other top 10 picks signed?
|
only first rounder signed so far is the texans' i believe.
|
the real question should be how many other first rounders have agents?
 |
Tick tock tick tock the clock is ticking there is no way Taylor is going to be in shape or in camp on day one... he has missed voluntery work outs and just out right doenst seem interested in signing for the skins

Maybe this has been covered!
Daily Press: S.Taylor:Who do Skins Talk to? -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Daily Press: Taylor: Who do Skins Talk to? posted on July-15th-2004 08:09 AM -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- http://www.dailypress.com/sports/dp...dp-sports-local I hope this connects you! I've heard this guy, Del Duca on the local radio. He's an agent that knows what he is talking about! |
corrected link for mozilla browsers (mine keep having the actual ... in the link itself):

I'm gonna be flat out honest now. Ill be VERY suprised if hes in camp the first week. This is really starting to look bad. Camp starts in 15 Days, and "if somthings gonna happen, its gotta happen now." Seriously though, he needs to have a agent by weeks end to have any sort of chance of getting into camp.

good article, thanks.
I hope he's not holding out for 1%, in the long run, its not really that much money, and he'll be getting a ton of cash from his 6% take on jerseys and such... |
Yeah, it's officially mid July, and still no agent. What is up with this guy? I'm with Gmanc711...the longer this goes on, the more skeptical I am of him showing up to camp on time...or close to it......
Come on Sean, get it together!!! |
If his dream was to play in the NFL he will be there on day one
well all rookies who dont have a contract are not even allowed to be at training camp, so its really up to his agent and the team |
I had asked a question a week or 2 back about whether anyone else thought the possible $10,000 fine Taylor would incur for missing one day at the rookie lectures and I have ask again since it seems the fine is going to be freaking $25,000 against Taylor. WTF dude?!?! I mean how can guys who miss the entire thing be fined 10 grand but taylor only misses one day, for atleast somewhat of a good reason, and he gets fined 2.5 times more than the regular fine? this just boggles my mind and hopefully I'm not the only skins fan kinda peved about this.

its cause he's a high pick and they want to make an example out of him... seems high, but if i got 14 million this year, I wouldn't be quite as concerned.

Wasn't ryan leaf the #2 selection when he got drafted but yet he was fined the same $10,000 fine. this makes no sense to me since he only missed one day where as others missed the entire thing and got fined the regular fine. what makes taylor's mistake so much worse than those before it? |
dunno, maybe its inflation at work :D

It seems to me that the NFL is saying, "okay, so the fact we've fined guys $10,000 in the past isn't enough to deter these young punks from continuing to skip our mandatory rookie symposium? Well then, we'll just have to bump it up to $25,000 and see what they think of that! Not enough? You guys just keep skipping, and we'll keep multiplying the fine, and then maybe you'll get the hint." I say good for the NFL. This whole rookie symposium thing is supposed to be a reality check. These guys have to realize they're professionals now, and they have to start conducting themselves as such. Anybody who blows off the mandates of their employer is going to suffer the consequences, and these guys should not be exempt. Keep bumping up the fine until there's 100% attendance. As for Mr. Taylor, I hope this wakes him from the stupor he seems to have been in for the past 3 months. He needed a swift kick in the ass, and the NFL gave it to him. |
