I don't see a switch to a 3-4 coming. These LBs taken today will be depth and special teams.

What reason do we have to believe that they're hurt beyond reasonable repair.

We've already added Fletcher, and drafted some guys for depth. I'm not seeing any red flags from this. I'm not saying we are changing to a 3-4, I'm saying if there's something to be said about chasing after LB's, it's probably from a scheme change as opposed to injury.

Just my humble little opinion.

I know its your opinion, and its cool. I just assumed the LB move was for depth and Special Teams.

We're probably hoping one of these two guys work out for us to replace Fletcher when he can't continue.

Right on. Your probably right.

I'm curious to why many believe our LB's were injured. Making sure there wasn't something I didn't know.

There is truth to this too. Also if I am not mistaken some say Marcus Washington will be cut in a couple years bc his contract gets crazy.

Hey thinking about the future for once might not be a bad idear.

Im not arguing against the point anybody was trying to make...but just to let you guys know, Lemar Marshall just turned 30 in December. Therefore, he is not 32, and still should have several decent years left before he starts to decline as a result of age...if he is able to bounce back from last year

So now that the draft is over do you think we are going to try and trade for Briggs again? Maybe giving away some of next years draft since we have all these draft picks now?

Re: So what you're telling me is...

How about giving the FO some credit for not giving up any of next years picks? Its not like this year was the ONLY year to pick up a d-lineman.....
I don't think we're going to be as weak at LB as everyone thinks. I like this Dallas Sartz kid...not so high on the kid from Pitt though.
I think Blades will be the better pro. He doesn't have the size (and that always doesn't matter) but, he's in good hands learning by another vertically challenged MLB, Fletcher.

Re: So what you're telling me is...

If the skins were really worried about Mcintosh's knee then they would have thrown him in on the trade for Briggs. Instead, the request for Mcintosh is what made the deal fall through.

As for Washington, it is his contract, not his injury that they worry most about.

Re: So what you're telling me is...

havent forgot about our two picks last year. Look at the other good teams they draft dlineman every year the eagles, cowboys, gmen, steeler, bears etc maybe that why they win. they draft linemen every year, not every 2 or 3 year3 like we do. Im happey with the two we got last year, wouldnt it be nice try to build around them.

Re: So what you're telling me is...

LB was simply a bigger need this year.

I'd love to see the draft histories of the teams you mentioned. I doubt they all draft defensive lineman every year.

JLC has posted several times lately that the Skins are worried about MW's hip and Rocky's knee a lot.
