Re: Santana vs. Randy
I like Santana but really Randy is a special talent while Santana is just very good.
Walker and WIlliams I'm sure of. Walker is a beast. Roy and Chris Chambers have the same problem: if we give Santana a pass for his QB situation look at these guys along with the lines 'protecting' them. This is a totally subjective argument.
If the Broncos were like, hey Danny Boy, we want to trade you Walker for Moss. You would do that?! |
Re: Santana vs. Randy
Jags game, in over time.... enough said.

Re: Santana vs. Randy
Gabe, that all depends on cap hits and salaries. Javon Walker in his 3rd year in the league had nearly 1400 yards, next year he got hurt, year after in a brand new system he had 1100 with 8 TDs. Pretty damn solid.

ok, I respect that |
Re: Santana vs. Randy
OK, it works like this ... once Lloyd gets his #$%@ together, and becomes a legitimate threat again, Santana sees less double-teams. With ARE running the underneath routes against slower LB's, Santana could be unstopable.
But what do I know ... I just tape every single game, and review the darn things looking for reasons to keep on keepin' on. :) |
Re: Santana vs. Randy
I think Randy Moss is the overall better player than Santana, I think we'll see what Randy has left in NE. If it's truly gone or just part of being part of an anemic offense. I like Santana, last year he proved a lot to me, but I still think he's at the bottom 10 or maybe even 15 receivers in the NFL.
DUDE! What games were you watching?? SM is in top 5! |
Re: Santana vs. Randy
It's real simple, quiter or winner? Santana!

Re: Santanna vs. Randy
There's only one receiver in the entire NFL that I would take over S. Moss; Steve Smith. And even then I feel like I'm splitting hairs.
12th man, I completely agree, even if no one else does.
Run after the catch ability is so vital to the value of any given receiver. If I had to guess, I would say that 2/3's of a guys value is determined by his ability to make plays after the catch. No one is better in this respect than Smith and Moss. Not even Randy Moss. |
I strongly disagree with this statement. I honestly don't understand how you can say that. He started in the pro bowl 2 season ago. Have you seen the man play?
Just cause you play in the pro bowl two years ago does not mean you are a true #1 wr. Pro Bowl doesn't mean anything to me. Don't get me wrong. I love Moss. I love his speed, run after the catch and the way he catches the ball. I think he is very very good NFL WR. No question about that. But I would not put him in the same category as: TO R.Moss C. Johnson M. Harrison S.Smith T.Holt |

Unless you are taking his performance from 4 years ago (a really long time), Randy Moss doesn't belong anywhere near those other guys. Owens probably doesn't either, but at least hes done something in the last 3 years. Randy Moss' on field play cost the Raiders points over the last two years. I can't stress this point enough. He cost his own team points, and he's on your list of elite receviers. That's wack. |

Aaron Brooks, Andrew Walter and an OC that was running a bed and breakfast. That's wack. Ownes led all WR's last year in TD's w/ missed time and a broken hand. He's a pain in the ass but that SOB produces. Why do you think JJ is paying him the roster bonus? He knows he needs him to win. |
