Re: D. Blaylock
I'm just say this to get it out of the way, because I know someone will bring it up. Just keep in mind, I don't really agree with this, I just know it will inevitably be brought up. Here goes...
Getting Blaylock gives us the flexibility now to trade Betts and seek help on the D-line. |

Re: D. Blaylock
Marcus Mason............oh did I write that out loud. sorry.lol.

Getting Blaylock gives us the flexibility now to trade Betts and seek help on the D-line.
Good point. You can't rule anything out at this point. JLC mentioned that the Skins coaches definitely are not 100% content with the defensive line as is.
Contrary to what some shills would have you believe, there is stil a definite and well-accpeted need along the D Line among the staff. Obviously, Coach Joe and the gang don't come right out in front of cameras and say what's still flawed with their team, and of course they would not publicly speak ill of their work this offseason, but that's where reporting and critical thought come in. Seems easy enough to grasp, but, alas, for some who love nothing more than to puff on the team's corproate cigar, well
Hmmm, seems like another pot shot at ES. LOL |
I would prefer to keep Rock instead.. Even if Baylock performs better than him because Rock is a true 'Skins.. I want to keep the cores of 'Skins..
Rock stays. Blaylock on the market now soesn't say much about what he brings to the table. |
Re: D. Blaylock
I believe Rock will stay at this point.
I don't believe for one minute Betts is going anywhere, especially for Blaylock. If we end up with Blaylock it will be for low cash and depth only. |
Re: D. Blaylock
Looks like Blaylock has already signed and JLa thinks theres a 99% chance that the TE Zach Hilton signs.
I like Rock too but, one of the reasons he set the record was because the defense was so bad and let other teams have their way with them and score points, forcing lots of return opportunities for Rock.
I see your point, but if I were coaching this guy would be a dream... from a 245lb fullback/ short yardage guy (who was like 11/13 wasn't he???) to a 215lb halfback who does whatever you ask him.. to a freaking kick returner??? this guy has done anything the team needed him to do and he is a great FOOTBALL player... there are plenty of other guys on this team who don't pull their weight and are just here to make a check that would need to go first... |

I totally agree with you.. |
Re: D. Blaylock
Why can't Blaylock sit on the sideline with an XXXXXXL T-shirt like Duckett next year? I would rather have him as the the next runner over Rock if one of the big two get hurt.

Re: D. Blaylock
Rock is a perennial 3rd stringer, why do you care if he is around or not? Granted he has been around for awhile, but geez a perennial 3rd stringer and you are panning for him to stay? If Blaylock out perfroms Rock, I want Blaylock. If Rock outdoes Blaylock I will want Rock. The best man wins in the NFL. Hopefully Blaylock will force Rock to up his game.

Re: D. Blaylock
