Re: Playing good WR's

Detroit has never had a really decent o line so just a decent pass rush combined with zone pass defense will do the trick against them. We really don't have to sack Kitna often or at all just get him off his rhythm. Detroit was great at getting to the redzone, but not good at getting into the endzone. That being said I do hope that Williams really gives the young D linemen a good shot at starting. It is the best shot at actually having a disruptive pass rush.

Plus as great as Calvin Johnson could be, and a great of a talent as he is, I remember alot of people saying the same things about Mike Williams (myself included) as they are saying about CJ. I think CJ will be fine, but we need to wait and see... he will still be a rookie so theres no gaurantee he will make a big enough impact in that game to be the difference. Quite frankly, if he is the sole reason the Lions beat us....were probaboly not in the mist of a very good season anyways.

I look at it this way, everyone is worried about how we are going to defense potent passing offenses, but not I. I ask how they are going to handle a defense that can lock down the number one offense of a year ago when healthy. Washington at New Orleans. That was one of the few games that Springs actually played in, and Carlos Rogers had an intercecption in. Throw Smoot into the mix and with with our safety's we should be pretty stout against the pass.
