he said the skins would finish last in the nfc east this year cause they had "made no real changes on Defense."he went on to kiss the asses of wade phillips and donovan mcnab, and said the poke and eagles would be super bowl contenders.i can't friggin' believe this prick was ever a redskin.let's start a petition to get his name removed from the roster of past redskins!!!!i wish i knew where the asshole live so i could go take a dump on his GD doorstep!
Dude chill. Remember we were 5-11 last year. He is paid to give his opinion. We have more question marks than Dallas and Philly.

I don't really care but in all honesty he apparently didn't do any due dilligence before making his comments. To say we haven't made any changes on defense is just plain uninformed.

By the way what does jolly stomped mean? I have an idea, but I need clarification. Just sounds retarded.
Amen guys. But if there is a position we are deep at, it is DB. I think you meant to say D-line.
I don't think we are all that deep at DB from what I had seen during the preseason. I am focusing on our CBs for the most part. WE have 3 really good CB's, but the best of the lot(Springs) is injury prone, Smoot is not the stud we drafted several years ago(sucked at Minnesota for the most part), and Rogers is improving steadily but still can get beat. Losing Springs for a few weeks is likely, but what if Smoot or Rogers sprains an ankle during the same time frame? We are screwed. DL is not much of a concern for me. It has been so bad for so long that you just have to live with the fact that it sucks.

I do not have a problem with Stink's comments in that the Eagles and the Cowgirls are the two best teams in the division. I do take exception to two things he said:

1) That the Giants will finish better than the 'Skins this year.
2) That McNabb will be healthy all year. I would love to know on what basis he formed that opinion; Donovan's recent past history would certainly seem to indicate that he will be lucky to play in more than 10 or 11 games this year.

In regards to predictions overall:

If I remember correctly, before last year the MSM was all over the Skins's collective nuts and talking about how great their off-season acquisitions were and how good they would be. I believe during that stupid ESPN rate the whole NFL by position group and overall team things, they had the 'Skins being the 3rd the best team in the NFL. Obviously they were wrong. These guys make predictions to feed our country's insatiable appetite for everything NFL.

Now going completely against what I just said, both Jaws, who watches more film than any analyst and Football Prospectus, which uses a ton of statical analysis, predicted a good year for the 'Skins. So I take that as a good sign.

Regarding McNabb, he sure looked healthy in the pre season games. Plus according to Reid, McNabb had on of his best camps. Now of course he could get hurt at anytime like anyone else, but I think he is close to 100%.

don't forget how Culpepper looked last preseason. he looked like nothing was wrong. and we all know how that ended up. Mcnabb had the same injury

He told me he was still favoring his injured leg bigtime. Anytime a defender got close to his leg he was hopping on one foot. Like I said, I havent watched much of them this preseason so take it for what its worth.
dont get the fascination of the Eagles? yesterdays news? are you watching football?? 4 straight NFC championships, 1 superbowl appearance, they have key people go down(McNabb, westbrook, TO(in the superbowl year) kerse, trotter and yet they still go deep in the playoffs.

Jim Johnson consistantly has a top notch D that forces turnovers and gets points off of those turnovers. McNabb prior to being hurt last season and previous was having pretty damn good years and has multiple pro bowls under his belt.

As far as who he considers himself to be, so what! he was a Bronco last, played there longer(i think) won a couple of bowls there i believe, so why not. do you think Champ would want to be remembered as a Skin or Bronco?
I agree the Eagles have been doing great lately while the Skins have been terrible for 10+ years. There is no reason for anyone to be high on the skins until they actually do something. Have the skins put pieces in place, yes. However the skins never seem to figure out how to get it done while the Eagles keep winning titles and going deep into the playoffs. When the skins start showing they are a real contender rather than an offseason wonder then they will get support until then dont expect more than what is being said.
I don't get the fascination with the Eagles. They are yesterday's news. I can understand making a case for Dallas, but Philly is so obviously on the brink of a total collapse that it boggles the mind to see them ranked so highly.

Jim Johnson is a great defensive mind, but everyone has their limits. They will give up big yards this year. Reid is pre-occupied and embarrassed and McNabb will continue to have a completion percentage in the 50s. I can't wait for the Pam Oliver interview though.

As for Stink, he considers himself a Bronco. Good for him. He is dead to me. He has apparently taken Salisbury as his mentor and the results are predictable: hideously bad television. The Nascar coverage rules, though.
i can honestly say that the espn coverage of the races stinks as well.
for stink he can keep stinking it up with those so called experts at espn.,i mean it really says alot to be sean,s right hand man, lol.

i,m just glad he treats his former bronco coach like a god ......

It really is amusing to see people get all riled up over what some commentator says. Fact is, Mark provides great insight most of the time, and he's good at what he does. Do I agree with his prediction...absolutely not! But you can't be right about every team every time. You try predicting for every single team and see how well you do by seasons end.
He'll be wrong about the Skins as will Sean Salsbury saying we will have 8 wins (we'll have 10 min.). But don't dog the man cause he thinks the skins will lose. Use common sense.
