Re: Where Was Calvin Johnson?
Point is he hasn't come right in and revolutionized the game as we were promised we would by the talking heads. Not that he's a bust, far from it. Just not worth the 2nd.
Who promised he would revolutionize the game? The media? Football people know he is going to need time like all rookies. He's only played 3 games. Let the guy learn like everyone else. Jerry Rice didn't do a damn thing his first year except drop a bunch of passes. Marvin Harrison didn't do anything til his 3rd year. Barely any rookies come in and take over the NFL. It just doesn't happen. I bet in a year or two from now the guy is going to be killing DB's. |
Re: Where Was Calvin Johnson?
Yeah, give him a couple years. The guy is just so big and drips pure raw talent that there is no way he won't be good.

Re: Where Was Calvin Johnson?
Iwas looking at the same thing,I told the guys at work last night the same thing. He is missing somthing and I cant put my hands on it.I guess sean taylor and laron laundry would make you rethink yo major in school!

Before the draft I was one who thought CJ was the best pick out there and prayed he would fall to the Skins. Well, yesterday CJ was non-existent - almost literally. I guess he's been slowed by injuries or whatever. But boy am I glad we got Landry instead!
I don't think Detroit should draft a wideout in the first round for another 20 years. It's a curse.

|
Re: Where Was Calvin Johnson?
