Redskins 24
Bears 21 The Redskins will escape with the W after the Bears miss the field goal with 13 seconds left on the clock. |
Re: Chicago v. Washington Predictions
As a fanatic of the Skins I think they will win the rest of our games as the emotions finally turn to determination! And the Skins win for Sean!
but... as a realist it looks as if the Skins are sleepwalking and will get snake bite once again in D.C. Skins 24 Bears 31 |
Re: Chicago v. Washington Predictions
I predict we lead most of the game until the 4th quarter and give up some big plays in the 2 minute drill and Loose again, going to 5-8. 21-23 Bears.
We'll win, ARZ loses this weekend just to give us yet ANOTHER week of hope only to be crushed next weekend by the Giants.
A unique combination of optimism and cynicism. Well played. I have to say, I'm with Matty on this one, I have trouble investing too much in this one. It's going to be very tough. Truncated week and truncated game planning. The Bears started prepping some last week I'm sure, I doubt the Skins got to do much since they were just trying to get through Sunday. I wouldn't be surprised to see some of the same breakdowns on the O-Line that we saw last week. I'd also be surprised if the Skins score more than 17 points. If they can pull this one off they will earn more of my respect, I just have trouble thinking they'll be able to pull it out. I certainly am hoping for the win and would really like to see Jason do really well. I just think we're going to see the offense struggle pretty mightily again, mostly because I wonder what sort of game planning they are going to get in. Unfortunately that means more vultures out calling for Gibb's head. Don't think it will be a shoot out. If the Skins pull it out I think it will require some help from Rex Grossman and some luck. If they can do it, it will be a low scoring game IMO. Redskins 13, Bears 10. |
Re: Chicago v. Washington Predictions
Skins 19 - Bears 16
Although the Skins are coming off a bad loss, the Bears are too. The situation of their L was worse than the Skins. With Eli throwing 4 INTs (I think) and you can't win, that is crushing. One extra day of practice and preparation doesn't make a huge difference this late in the season. Also, the Bears are traveling, essentially taking away their extra day. |
Re: Chicago v. Washington Predictions
The BEARS BLOW the BIG ONE!
They couldn't stop a nat! Skins 42 - Bears ZIP. This "so-called" TEAM completely and thoroughly from head to toe SUCKS! Their season was over when they thought they were good enough to play on the same field as the CHARGERS. ...let alone the same league. Pressure Grossman and he'll run like a little girl for the 5 yard line. The SKINS should have NO PROBLEMO handling The Bearsies. GOOD LUCK WASHINGTON!....and here's to NO INJURIES!!! . |
Re: Chicago v. Washington Predictions
Seems I'm always looking for history to repeat itself w/my beloved Skins. Even though it never does, here goes another parallel for this game:
on Nov. 26, 1989, Chicago came to town. The Skins were 5-6 & I believe the Bears were too. Both teams were slumping some. The Skins trounced em 38-14 w/Mark Rypien throwing for 401 yds. & 5 td's I think. All of the posse had at least 1 td, believe Monk had 2. I think the Bears scored on a kick return for one of their td's. This was the first of 5 straight wins to finish 10-6, though they didn't make the playoffs. I remember it so well because my sister got us great tickets close to the field. Ditka was fuming during & after the game. My hope for tomorrow night is that we can get back on track in the same fashion, though we can't expect the score to be like that. The Bears are also struggling. |

Sounds about right. Ill be damn If I wanna start a Gibbs bash here, but he's just not going to change his game plan. If we do get the lead we will sit on it.We will move up and down the field I'm sure but when we get to the dreaded red zone it will be field goal mania. Bears 24 Skins 16 |

Re: Chicago v. Washington Predictions
We'll either lose "because of Gibbs" or win "in spite of Gibbs" Sure the defense might let Grossman throw all over the field, Campbell might throw an INT, the offensive line might get pushed back all day, but that doesn't matter. They are never to be held accountable for anything ever.
Seriously though (although I was serious about what I wrote above), if Campbell has no turnovers we win. His turnovers have been the biggest difference between 4-0 and 0-4 the past month. We're not getting blown out, just making costly mistakes. 17-6 Redskins.
No offense but you're getting very bitter lately. |

No more bitter than I usually am. I just held my tongue for far too long while others around here did their thing. I've calmed down a bit in the past couple of days, though I will never understand how the players always seem to skate by with hardly any criticism their way. It makes for pretty weak discussions on gameday when so few want to discuss what the players did wrong until three or four days after the fact. Plus what I said wasn't too far off SGG's last sentence in the first post of this thread. |
