Re: SNYDER reconsider PETITION!!!
Dear Danny,
I see your ticking off allot of season tickets holders and many have said they will drop their season tickets. If you go through with this and many do cancel their season tickets will this mean that I will get better seating for next years tickets? If yes, keep up the good work. Thank You, |
Re: SNYDER reconsider PETITION!!!
Dear Danny,
You're rich and I'm not. Care to buy up another Redskins site? I'll start the bidding at a cool $1M. You can afford it. Hit me up with a PM if you're interested. |
Re: SNYDER reconsider PETITION!!!
Dear Season ticket holder,
there are currently 100,000 on the season ticket waiting list. I will sincerely miss the 3 of you pissed off enough to leave.............The Dan |

Matty:
As usual, you are the succinct voice of reason and reality here. :thumb: Anyone who believes that Danny Boy will make his deicision on the new coach based on the contents of this - or any other - petition probably leaves the lights on at night for Jimmy Hoffa. ;) |

Remember the last Washington owner that got bullied by the fans and ended up changing course because of it? He ended up giving Juwan Howard $105M ... That being said, the situation has gotten out of hand it seems and Snyder must accept at least some of the blame for that. |

We haven't heard a peep from any Redskins official during this process, so until then we only have ourselves to blame for this self induced panic. What did Snyder say when Gibbs stepped down? Something about being patient and going through the process? Sounds like he's doing exactly what he said he was going to do. |

If he truly wants to be patient, then why not wait until after the Superbowl when all coaches are fair game? And I'm not exactly happy with the potential hiring of Fassel, but at this point, I don't care. He's already basically decided it's not going to be Williams, so we'll be dealing with at least another year of rebuilding. |

After all there are rumors he would like to interview Spagnola and McDaniels. |

If Snyder/Cerrato already know what they want to do with the HC vacancy then why don't they hold a presser and announce Gibbs' successor? You can say that they are "being patient" and perhaps waiting until after the SB, but in that case why are they bringing in Zorn and Ryan as OC and DC candidates (as multiple sources have reported)? If they are bringing in OC and DC candidates then the only conclusion is that they have a successor in place already, otherwise why are you trying to build a staff already? If Fassel is the guy, then why not just announce it? Why is it contingent on getting Zorn and Ryan? I can't imagine that Fassel is in position to say, I'll only come if I can get X and Y on my staff. If you trust Fassel to run the ship then why do you need a whole staff in place before you hire him? Not to mention the fact that the Redskins still have an OC and DC under contract (obviously a new coach would probably overhaul, but why make that attempt publicly before you have even announced a new coach?) If they want to wait for Spagnolo (which would have made sense had the Giants lost but now seems to just drag the thing out too long), then wait for him but don't bring in coaching candidates for the OC and DC jobs. No other team in the league that had a vacancy waited to fill the OC and DC spots before they announced the coach. They announced their head coach, then (logically) allowed him to move forward choosing his staff. I agree that the histrionics on this site and elsewhere during the search were unnecessary. However, the past two days Snyder has bungled the operation and I think criticism of specifically his handling of the Fassel/Ryan/Zorn situation is very justified. |

Re: SNYDER reconsider PETITION!!!
Dan Snyder is a fool. He should get rid of Cerrato (again) as he doesn't know what he is doing and rehire Casserly who does know what he is doing. His obvious move would have been to promote Williams to head coach and let him hire the new defensive coach. By keeping Saunders and the other coaches, he could have built on what he has which is a team showing signs of developing into a winner. He doesn't understand cohesiveness and team spirit within the organization. Now, I gaurantee the team will regress into a doormat for the division. Snyder has gotten rid of better coaches than Fassel ever was.

Re: SNYDER reconsider PETITION!!!
If you think this thread is stupid don't post on it. If you think our voices don't affect people then don't talk. Our discourse has been featured on local television shows and mentioned on sportstalk radio. As for Dan reading this thread, probably not. Talking about problems often times fixes the problems or atleast makes them easier to deal with. Before ya claim a thread is stupid or 'explicative retarded' try consulting a thesaurus to give a better read. Thanks to the rest!!! Hail to the Redskins.

That being said, the situation has gotten out of hand it seems and Snyder must accept at least some of the blame for that.[/QUOTE] That's a good point. Remember Abe thought that throwing a parade for Juwan would entice him to stay in D.C.? Did anybody go to that? Fans, including myself, were pissed. In retrospect, Polin (by accident), made the right move, by not signing Juwan. Because of Howard's return, Rasheed Wallace for Rod Strickland soon followed.....That did ruin us. If you want to use the Wizards for comparison, look at how the Wizards have done since they got a real GM in Ernie Grunfeld! |
