Here was my take on the Clayton situation when it went down

http://www.redskinswarpath.com/419026-post5.html

As for why he's gone, his contract is up. I don't really know any more details.
Well, calling him the crypt keeper wasn't nice, and I remember that, I just don't remember it being of any issue. I felt they always rib each other, and Salisbury went too far, but they likely resolved it off camera. But that cell phone thing is inexcusable.

By the way, that link you gave is priceless. It totally looks like Clayton.

Jeez, did they have to fire him? It's not like he was going around showing his penis to female coworkers.

Wow, three page thread for Sean Salisbury. Looks like we're going to have to "right-size" the ship here.....at the Warpath......where we post.

salisbury had other incidents with women from what i recall...

dick vermeil would have been the best choice for replacement. not "in your face," but he's also not retarded, which is a huge plus.

Re: Salisbury Done at ESPN

By the way, just to be clear Cris Carter being signed to ESPN doesn't necessarily mean he's replacing Sean Salisbury. Think of it as Carter is simply being added to the roster.

Carter will be pretty busy right off the bat but that doesn't necessarily mean that'll be the case come September.

I don't think Vermeil is interested in any extended TV work by the way, TG

Yeah, Vermil would have been great, only I have a feeling that he's having to much fun tasting wine.

Can't believe the guys been married since 1988
Cris Carter?

Alright I take back everything bad I said about Salisbury. Carter is a huge downgrade.
Agreed I don't know what the fascination with Carter is? His lack of knowledge for a player who played the game is astounding.

Salisbury fired for showing some woman his penis, and Isiah Thomas costs his company $11,000,000.00 and still has his job. go figure?

Maybe now that Salisbury has some time on his hands, he'll walk to Washington like he promised a few years back.

Leave it to ESPN to fire a clown and replace him with a jacka*s...

We've got to give ESPN some credit. They do produce some damn good shows and do employ some pretty outstanding individuals, such as John Clayton and our very own Smootsmack. I don't care for Carter either, but let's not throw out the baby with the bathwater.

Thanks. Don't forget EEich and DGreene28. They do some pretty damn good work here as well. But look, just about everyone of us has good and bad coworkers and can say both positive and negative things about our companies. Just so happens mine is under a bigger microscope here and it's fun to pick on the big guys.

I wish we had done better than Carter but he's just one person here. And who knows, he may surprise us all.
