I didn't know there was ever a ship for a Roy Williams trade to DC? Where are you getting that from, I believe that (rumor) get put out right after it started. I certainly doubt that's the closest to a sure thing we can get in the FA market for a WR, probably the most unlikely from certain. |

Both of them battled nagging injuries all year. Boldin didn't put up 1400 yards, try 853.
Lol, I realized that after I posted it. :D I tried to change it but you probably have access to all my edits. Thats what I get for trying to sound like a know-it-all |
define... hurt.
like FOR REAL or nagging.
He had a high ankle sprain last year which made him miss significant time. Other then that he's only missed a game here and there. Pretty good track record for a WR |

He's been hurt each of his 3 seasons. Although his first two seasons they were just small nagging injuries. |
Re: Zorn and Skins to pursue D. J. Hackett
New coach same old personnel philosophy, here we are making a big deal about 2 WR's who are nothing special, did we learn nothing from the Brandon Lloyd signing? I find it hard to believe we can't find a WR in the draft to at least come close to the talent level of these NFL giants? I guess Anthony Mix is nothing more than a special teams guy.
Hackett is an average WR in a very good offensive scheme, the west coast offense has made average WR's look good, and very good WR's look great. But at last we have to have this guy, why? Because Vinny and co. couldnt spot a talented player beyond the top 10 of the draft if their lives depended on it! |

And as for your last sentence about Vinny and co. not being able to spot a talented player beyond the top 10, several of us have pointed out enough times the complete fallacy in that statement that it doesn't need to be repeated. |
Re: Zorn and Skins to pursue D. J. Hackett
I'd choose Hackett. Was hoping for a bigger gun at WR like a CJ or Randy Moss just to take the double team off of Santana. Noone should count out Mix as a possible surprise star in 2008!

Mix's name is coming up on here almost as much as Lavar, Ramsey & Brunell! Everyone's got their eye on him & hopes he's a diamond in the rough. I sure do. Maybe the coaches are banking on him more than they're letting on. Mix really could be a wild card in the decision making of wr corps. He hasn't done anything yet, so it would be hard to put a lot of faith in him, but I hope he steps up & gets some playing time at wr. |
Re: Zorn and Skins to pursue D. J. Hackett
I hope people aren't disappointed if Mix doesn't turn out to be anything more than a special teamer/reserve WR. Seems like a lot of high hopes with him.

:soapbox: Don't you know he's the next Great ! How this guy isn't starting is beyond me ! I mean he can only be the best WR that we've had in this city since,... EVER ! Come on Matty, not just you, but everyone. You HAVE to see the superstar potential in this man. HE PLAYED WITH JASON AT AUBURN FOR CHRIST'S SAKE !!! I mean we simply have to go with this guy. Alas; Vinny and Co., Snyderatto, or whatever we choose to call him today will mess it up. These people obviously can't spot talent, ESPECIALLY in the later rounds of the draft ! :cool-smil this is some good shit ! |
Re: Zorn and Skins to pursue D. J. Hackett
I say we let Cooley, Moss, Randle El, and Caldwell go and start the Ecker, Mann, Mix, and Toler era.
And for good measure bring back Nemo and Casey Bramlett |
