Re: Rams Sign Reche
I'm not surprised he signed with Rams. Saunders knows him and Caldwell is familiar with the system. Feel sure that Caldwell knows the Redskins are looking for a young and tall WCO style receiver.
With my burgundy and gold colored glasses...have complete confidence in Zorn and Co. |
Re: Rams Sign Reche
We were all dreaming Reche would do something good for us, but we always think everyone will do well for us.
I wish him luck. This just means we can draft Marcus Monk!!!!!! WOO HOO. :D |

Because I know we will get a WR in the first 2 rounds now |
Billy McMullen
I had no idea we had Billy McMullen. He tore it up at UVA w/ Schaub. I thought he'd be a good NFL WR. Shows how much i know. In college he was tall, fast, and had excellent hands. I guess if i didn't know we had him, his ability to play in the NFL is low at best. |
Re: Rams Sign Reche
I was hoping for Reche to return to the Redskins. He's nothing spectacular but he's a solid vet as we all saw last year.

Re: Rams Sign Reche
I guess this is a good development for the Mix crew. Guy gets to duke it out with James Thrash and a Rookie for third on the depth chart.
I am getting the sense that we had better not. I would like us to use our picks for a change. We drafted pretty well the past couple of years. Imagine what we could do with all of our picks.
Seriously though, I would rather trade for an outstanding WR than draft one in the first round. But that is the only position that I feel that way about.
This year's wr class seems to be kind of weak. But who in the world is going to be our 3rd and 4th wr's? We'd better get some depth there cause you know Santana's going to pull a hammy for a game, two or three. But I agree, I'd rather keep the draft picks. |

Man I am gonna miss those beautiful eyes...

I wouldn't mind trading a second or third rounder for Roy Williams. |

I agree, I was looking forward to Reche coming back and providing this team much needed WR depth. Both Reche and McCardell both played solid when they where on the field for us. I think we are getting very thin in the WR position with quality depth. So this leaves us with #1 Moss, #2 El, #3 Thrash? Yea I know Mix......and the draft. This is a little concerning to me. With all the injury problems we have confronted in recent years. I think we now have to make a depth move or a possible trade to compete for the #3 WR spot or even better. |
What would make u say that Hardy is a problem child? I looked it up. He has one incident in his collegiate career in which he apologized, paid he dues, received counseling, and has been a model citizen since.
Scoutssay that he had off field issues all the time, but one should look into such things before one regurgitates rhetoric and then labels another person.
Hardy beat me up last month for letting an old lady cut in line at the movie theater. To which he said "Is James Hardy gonna have to choke a bitch?". I don't remember what happened after that because the guy knocked me out cold. If that isn't an off field problem then I don't know what is. James Hardy released from jail after alleged domestic incident However, back to reality. Hardy was charged of domestic assault against his girlfriend. Ironically this was the first time I looked into what happened to Hardy, and quite frankly its enough to make me stay away from him. I don't care if he's 6'6. Violence against a women is unacceptable, especially against someone that has trusted you enough to stay by your side for 7 years. And the thing is, he's not even our best option at Reciever. If we take a Reciever at 21 then we'd be better off with Thomas, Kelly, or Sweed. Hardy, with character issues aside, is the fourth best reciever on our hit list. And thats assuming that the front office doesn't rank your boy Jordy ahead of him. I don't care so much if a guy has off the field issues. Everyone has problems and sometimes athletes get exposed due to the fact that they're high profile guys. However sometimes the off field issues go beyond the scope of what is acceptable from a decent human being and in my opinion Hardy falls beyond that scope. Besides, if his lying ability is any indication of how he'll perform as a pro then I don't see how anyone could stand to draft him. If anything the following examples indicate a lack of awareness. "According to the police report, Hardy then told the officers that Nolan had gotten "into his face" and that he "pushed her away with his hand into her neck and that is where the red mark came from." He also admitted that he attempted to disconnect the phone, on speaker phone mode at the time, but that he didn't know who Nolan was trying to call, the report said." "At the scene police also saw a telephone broken into four pieces with the cord unplugged from its outlet, the report said. Hardy said that his infant son had probably broken the phone when he was playing with it." |

Lol, are you setting me up? Personally I don't know, but I think the evidence speaks for itself. If I had to guess I'd say he probably got off easy on account of this possibly being a first offense. Also I wouldn't be surprised to learn that a coach had written a letter to the judge a la Jeremy Stevens, who ironically makes Hardy look like a choir boy. |
Re: Rams Sign Reche
WR's in the draft are so easy to be bust now of days if picked so early I hope Mix is killing it in the workouts so we pick the other needs first then a WR in the 3rd or 4th.
