I'd say that applies to anybody. Why would you even WANT to go to a place where you felt you have to carry a gun? Guns and alcohol don't mix. If you can't figure that out maybe you need someone to run your life for you. Just like you said, he said F-it, I'm going to party. Stuff like this reminds me of the Cowgirl fans who say they don't care about character. Clueless.
Exactly. This isn't Iraq, Afghanistan, or the Wild West. If you feel the need to carry, just don't go out. Not to mention he obviously doesn't know how to handle a gun either. Most people who carry a firearm at least understand how to use the safety. He's like Cheddar Bob from 8 Mile. Plaxico and whoever else was in close proximity are all very lucky nothing more serious happened. I get so damn annoyed when I see people with all this money and opportunity act like complete and total ungrateful d-bags. |
Re: Plaxico Shot in Club
anybody seen 8 mile with eminem?....Plaxico is CHEDDAR BOB!...hahaha

I'm not saying that he's not stupid to bring it or whatever, but everyone deserve some benefit of doubts..
Why go somewhere if you feel the need to carry a gun with you???? Especially in Manhatten. How do you shoot yourself in leg by accident? This guy is nothing but a big fat pain on the ass. Ask yourself this question. Would this happen to Eli Manning or Amani Toomer? No. |
Re: Plaxico Shot in Club
It doesn't matter whether he brought it in with him for protection or not. What matters is that several things had to go "wrong" to get to a point where you shoot yourself. Thankfully no one else was shot and I'm sure he's glad he didn't shoot himself in the crotch.

Re: Plaxico Shot in Club
This guy is such a retard, but then again we've always known that. This is just further proof.
I know you wouldn't joke about it, but you'd be surprised to hear some of things that Giants, Cowboys and Eagles fans have been said about Sean Taylor since his death.
Maybe some, but go on youtube and there is a tribute to sean taylor by a cowboys fan, it's very nice, I think you get those idiots who always want to throw gang, or life style in there but, the reality is, you never know how you will go, or what's coming next! |
Night Club + Pistol + Shooting Yourself...sounds like a Dave Chappelle skit. I guess he won't be playing this Sunday which is A-OK with me. Plastico, you might want to learn how to operate a handgun before you wield one you f'ing moron...you know, to avoid shooting yourself in the future.
p.s. I wouldn't be surprised if the Giants release his ass. I know I would.
Then the Redskins should pick him up, he is hell talent,..... he be on the same string D-Hall is on, last chance to dance. |

I am sure the Skins will jump at the opportunity to get him but I'm not sure if he is worth it. While Hall has his own set of problems I can't say I have watched enough of him to say that he's a lazy player where as in Plexico's case I have seen him ample of times where he's not just me-me-me but lazy has hell on the field. |

Re: Plaxico Shot in Club
I am for any America who feels like they need protection, and get a gun. The problem is that a lot of people think the gun fires itself. Being in the military for a while I've learned the importance of certain things, I'm guessing PB didn't. I'm sure he:
- Didn't have the gun in a holster, we can thank all the movies for that. - Kept the weapon loaded, with round in the chamber - Kept the weapon off safety. Pistols won't fire themselves, but it doesn't take much if you have a double action pistol and you've already pulled the slide back and/or pulled the cocky mechanism back. For all of you thinking of getting any type of firearm for personal protection, please get some trigger time and some classes at your nearest gun range. The people you are trying to protect could be the ones that end up getting hurt. Be safe people. |
Re: Plaxico Shot in Club
hagams....I agree with you. To say guns kill people is to say the cars drunk drivers are using kill people. Maybe we should ban cars. That way law abiding drivers can get screwed also. Sorry I could go off on a huge tangent but won't. Just because the law says everyone has a right to own a gun does not mean everyone should. You can't handle a gun safely then you should not be one to own or carry a gun around.
Now if your going to a Philli game....thats a different story. lol. just kidding. |

Fundamental Gun Safety Rules:
Saden, to piggyback on your post, they are pretty much the same weapon rules we have in the Corps. Safety Rules: 1. Treat EVERY weapon as if it were loaded. 2. Never point a weapon at anything you do not intend to shoot (In this case, yourself) 3. Keep your weapon on safe until you are ready to fire. 4. Keep your finger straight and off the trigger until you intend to fire. |
Re: Plaxico Shot in Club
I did not think you were legally allowed to carry a weapon in NYC unless you were a police officer or some other person of the law. This could have legal implications for Burress.
|
Re: Plaxico Shot in Club
Burress does need a safety lesson or two on being a gun owner. You got to respect it and be smart. I have been a gun owner for many years and have never had an accident.

Re: Plaxico Shot in Club
I'll say this, how in the hell can Pacman get re-instated with a "Zero Tolerance" policy even in baseball your out after 3 strikes. Plaxico should be equally banned for a year and have to apply later on.
If players are not allowed to lay on the ground after a TD or do any of this unsportansman like or distraction to the game stuff and certainly on a dedication ring of honor weekend game a player shoots himself involved in gun play still be allowed to Don a jersey and wear the NFL logo being an ambassador to the world for Goodell's $ billion product than what gives. EA SPORTS says if its in the game.....Role models and representatives of the NFL toting guns like scarface shooting himself in the leg. Than what other felonies can these above the law players and politicians get away with before someone says maybe along with musicians/movies/video games but athletes are corrupting our youth today. Will the NFL have disclaimers before games. Ban Burress and let him make supplemental income as a poster boy for smith and wessun or guns and ammo. If the NFL dares to honor STaylor and lets Burress off with anything less is a slap in the face or dismissal of seans life. |
