Freud got his throat ripped out.

Ron White was talking about a real guy.

I can see there are videos on this thread but I'm at work and can't watch them. Is that what the hub bub is all about?
Why is it when Chris Rock makes jokes about a tiger biting Freud it's funny?
Why is it when Ron White makes jokes about a bear eating a guy it's funny?
Why is it when the Richmond Times Dispatch runs cartoons of bears eating people at the natural selection zoo it's funny?

But somehow when I think that a Chimp eating a lady is funny I'm sick?
Comedy is about context, timing and delivery. If we're calling it like we see it well then you're not funny and your joke was tasteless. If you get hit by a bus tomorrow know that I will be thinking of you and saying to myself "couldn't happen to a better person." Let's hope you make it to Friday, m'kay.

Granted it be different if it was a unknowing child. But this lady made a decision to go into the lions den and got eaten. Is that not natural selection?

If I went out and bought a Golden Eagle and it pecked out my eyeballs when I was asleep wouldn't that be natural selection?

What about the you tube of the terrorists drilling a hole in the bomb in Iraq to make it into an IED. Don't tell me I'm the only one who thought it was funny when they blew their buts strait up to Allah?

Here's something that none of y'all have pointed out. What the hell was the lady doing with a dangerous animal in her home? What's the difference between a chimp and an alligator? They both eat people. Don't tell me that no one knew she had the thing. Would you let a love one visit a lady with a chimp? Why isn't the owner facing charges?

Don't get mad at me because I'm slightly twisted. I don't let my animals maul people. The last time I checked fat old labs aren't a threat to society.
Um, I started off the thread asking why people keep "pets" like this.

If you want to be "twisted" fine go ahead, just don't act like you can't understand why people might be offended by your crass comments. I'm sure this isn't the first time a twisted person like yourself has heard that type of reaction.

Re: Chimp beatdown

This chimp, as I understand it, was pretty well known in the town. Even the police were aware, yet nothing was ever done such as removing the pet from the home. If I remember right, some new law was passed recently about having wild animals as pets but this chimp was grandfathered in (though some are now saying that never happened or never should have happened). Anyhow, with the common knowledge that this pet existed yet nothing was done then I'd think it'd be hard to press charges.

I also heard that this is a friend that visited fairly frequently but she had recently changed her hair style, or dyed her hair maybe and the chimp didn't recognize her.

It's an unfortunate situation. I don't know what natural selection has to do with any of it.

The woman had changed both her hair style and her car and also had brought a stuffed elmo toy as a gift for the Chimp. I guess, somehow, this combination set him off.

It sounds like just a really unfortunate combination of things.

Comedy is a mystery, one that has been pondered since Aristotle. Nobody can explain why some people are funny and others aren't, we just kind of know this to be the case. So when Chris Rock makes such a joke it's funny, but when you do it's creepy and weird. When Jim Carrey farts in dumb and dumber its hilarious, but when my dad does it its gross.

While no one can explain why this is the case, the lesson to be gleaned is that you - Trample - should stop making jokes.

How about....Chris Rock doesn't make a joke about the incident the day after it took place? Chris Rock's joke doesn't allude to Social Darwinism? Chris Rock is funny?

Familiarity with one's delivery helps, too. TTE's real life personality may even be a mirror image of Chris Rock but we don't know, we can only make our own inferences based off of reading his selection of words w/o putting a voice to it. I'd go with "he's pretty funny overall" but this situation maybe not so much.

Perhaps, I asked some some people tonight what they thought about it. They know me better and thought the point I was making has funny. Maybe the internet takes the humor out of it. Maybe I was just being crass. It just made perfect sense to me so I wrote it.
Turns out this lady is sleeping with the chimp, gave it wine, and zanax. If that's not stupid I don't know what is?
Oh, when I was thinking of my tag I was thinking of our offensive line. I don't really advocate trampling the elderly. That wasn't just for you. Some others had something or other about it.
Do they still have Habu Sake over there or is it illegal?

Fair enough. I think if the chimp had eaten its owner your remarks might have come off as less crass. The fact that it ate an innocent visiter is decidedly less funny.

Habu sake is from Okinawa and I assume sold pretty freely down there (someone was just telling me those snake hunters make bank) although I haven't run into it up here in the Kansai region. Have you had it? Is it worth tracking down?

I thought she was saying today that she never gave him Xanax. Who knows?

As for Trample, why he's getting so much attention here I'm not sure, but from a large amount of his parking lot posts he seems to be-or at least likes to play the part of-a sexist, xenophobic sadist who cares about no one and probably has few if any that care about him. Not to mention his profile (I actually think maybe he's an exterminator, like Uncle Jessie) Yet, at the same time he has some reasoned posts both in the locker room and the parking lot. But anyway, it'd be easy to see why people think he is a pretty crass, unfeeling individual. Who knows, maybe he is.

I had it in Iwakuni. I don't remember much after I did. Stick to the major brands. You never know what you're going to get.
