Excellent. We don't need the Cowpies' trash. |
Re: Roy Williams?
So if the Haynesworth deal did not go through, you would have been upset with signing Canty?
I'd have gone ballistic had we signed Canty period. Paying him what NY did is just asinine IMO. Canty is a decent run-stopper but a pathetic pass-rusher...something like 2 or 3 sacks a year on average. ...onto the bigger picture NY sucked it hard this off-season despite what the talking heads say. Canty won't be anything special, Boley won't have success in the NFC East cuz he's smallish and not a big hitter, and NY's 1st round pick won't contribute much and looks like a niche WR anyway. Probably still the favorite to win the division, although I think Philly is close behind, but I just don't think the G-men did anything impressive this off-season. |
Re: Roy Williams?
Canty was the only Cowboy I ever considered wanting to sign and that was because he went to college in Virginia. I feel ashamed I ever considered it now, and chalk it up to a youthful desire to experience all life had to offer. Just say no to drugs. Sometimes your braincells can play some weird tricks on you.

Dude you crack me up...but since we're having confession I'll admit to wanting Randy Moss before he went to the darkside under Darth Hoody...lol. |

I boycotted anything redskins till like couple games into the season the year we lost Trent to free agency. Was so pissed. |
You all may not have noticed this, but a month ago Matty added a tremendous feature geared for the lazy ass in all of us when starting a new thread. You simply enter in the title of your thread "Roy Williams" for example and then right next to it you click on "check if already posted" and it will show you similar threads to see if the topic has already been posted. Great tool...thanks Matty!
Sadly no one uses this feature apparently. |

I thought that drafting Kellen Winslow would make more of an impact than drafting #21. |

We really have nice Mods.

Re: Roy Williams?
This thread had me interested until I figured out it was about the safety and not the WR.

Being a longtime fan of the Redskins, I've had that feeling on more than one occasion. :) |

When Canty was available as a free agent i thought he would be a good signing for us to. He did atend UofVa so he would have got a pass for that. He cant help that the Cowboys drafted him. He is good at run support and also decent pass rusher. I like his size. As far as Roy Williams moving to LB its not that easy to do. We have a Saftey in the mold of Roy, who is Chris Horton. I think Chris is good aginst the run and needs to improve aginst the pass. |
