Re: Run the 3-4 Anybody?
I think over the next couple of weeks, our DLine will begin to gel and you will see more pressure on opposing QBs.
The one overwhelming problem that I see with the D is a big one. Deangelo Hall getting burned in space and Smoot playing WAY too far off the line of scrimmage. move em up a couple yards, and for Christs sake, make a tackle. The Giants should have never gotten that touchdown on that short WR screen. The skins are paying Deangelo Hall alot of money to perform, not to get his ankles broken by a crappy 6th round rookie WR who is playing basically by default. Gotta step it up secondary. And quit with the personal vendettas with the late hits. Noone cares about the size of your cock. Quit making it a measuring contest and just D UP!!!!!!!!!!!! |
Re: Run the 3-4 Anybody?
Don't you think Smoot moreso screwed up the Hicks TD. When you are out in space you've got to make that tackle, or atleast wrap him up so that he doesn't get a head of steam and your team can get over and help you out.

Uhhh not sure if you're serious. No way Williams would ever work for Snyder again. But more than that I think they've completely turned the d over to him in NO...by next year he'll have that group in the top 10 and the Saints a legit contender for the SB. Mark it dude :) |
Re: Run the 3-4 Anybody?
Nope we need more LBs and we have no depth there.
Sorry 3-4 is a terrible idea. Get a 3-4 coach and draft LBs. We can talk after 2-3 years. |

I wouldn't necessarily say that |

Best. Movie. Ever. |
Re: Run the 3-4 Anybody?
a 3-4 requires about 6 quality LBs...we have 2.
If anything...we need to consider a 5-2, if there is such a thing. Heck...why not a 6-1?..(joke) |

I agree. Smoot should have made the tackle, which would have stopped the Giants drive. That may have been a missed tackle worth 7 points. |

My God Williams would have to be the most self-deprecating person on the planet to come back to an owner/FO that orchestrated one of the most absurd smear campaigns against him I can remember in professional football. I mean if he did that I would lose all respect for him. ...I still hold the belief that no great coach will work for Snyder any time soon with the possible exception of Shanahan who 1) has always been about the money and 2) is probably well past his prime coaching days. Hell i wouldn't work for Snyder and I effing luv the Redskins. |

Still, there are only so many head coaching jobs available at any time in the NFL. And while there are some people that Williams had issues with and who had issues with him, you're just going to have to trust me I guess that Snyder was not one of them. |
Re: Run the 3-4 Anybody?
i would take him back here in a minute. Blache doesn't see the value of qback pressure. which in my opinion is the key to turnovers
