Re: Offensive line depth (R. Thomas' injury)
Anyone else think Thomas is done as a Redskin?
Could be.
Yes, and I wrote that in our article. Two season missed plus age equals change. |
Re: Offensive line depth (R. Thomas' injury)
agreed. i think it was portis who said kendall was the smartest player hes ever played with. i love me some pete kendall but not as much as my man RAY FREAKIN BROWN!!!! bring the beast back at age 43!! im not even jokin
how many beers did you drink today? i understand your man love for both guys but c'mon. |
Re: Offensive line depth (R. Thomas' injury)
Ok, Now is it time to start worrying about age and health of O-line and the overall depth???!!!! Not good, but rather it be the inside guys instead of the tackles. So anybody know why the hell Reinhart wasnt active today? I thought this guy was coming along and finally "getting it?" Well so far Reinhart is in the same opinion right now as D Thomas is, a waste of a roster spot. Montgomery played all right, but Heyer is not getting any push out of his position in the running game on that side anyways. Now I hope the Oline doesnt head the way it finished last year, but gentleman, welcome to the first step in losing RT.

Could be.
I love the guy but his body is just letting him down. He's done. |
Re: Offensive line depth (R. Thomas' injury)
He has hardly played in the last 4 seasons. Not sure if he is done-done but don't think he'll get paid like he currently is. He'll have the option to take less money next year and stay or walk. I figure he's the type of guy that will take less money.

Re: Offensive line depth (R. Thomas' injury)
Hopefully someone can play up to par. I definitely would not be shocked to see kendall as a skin or a trade go down in classic ceratto/snyder form

Re: Offensive line depth (R. Thomas' injury)
Maybe Montgomery was activated because he plays center AND guard. Didn't we have a backup tackle active? If so, that covers the line w/out Rinehart.
Exactly. Next week Rinehart will start, and Montgomery will be backup. Seems like our depth should be fine. |
Re: Offensive line depth (R. Thomas' injury)
We still have O-lineman. MW, the center from Maryland we picked up plays Guard, we could bring back Bridges. There's a lot we could do.
Anyone else think Thomas is done as a Redskin?
Could be.
Yep. Time for a changing of the guard, if you don't mind the pun. Thomas was not his old self anyway. Maybe Rinehart or Montgomery can step up and we can run to the right for a change. |
Re: Offensive line depth (R. Thomas' injury)
I didn't even think Thomas would last this long. Figured it'd be his neck or back that would be his undoing though

Re: Offensive line depth (R. Thomas' injury)
If Rinehart comes in and plays well, we'll be better off in the long run.
This is probably the best part of the season to have a different RG in there. There will be an adjustment period, but with Detroit, Tampa, Carolina, and Kansas City coming up, we can flounder to 3-1 while the offense gets back to what it does well. We don't need to blow anyone out in the next few weeks, though a warning shot or two would be nice. But by December, there better be some beatdowns going on. |

If it had to happen it couldn't of happened at a better time and will probably be for the best in the long run. I think the more Rinehart plays the better he'll get. |
Re: Offensive line depth (R. Thomas' injury)
With the freakout going on today, I'm surprised no one has pointed out that we won't play a nationally televised game for another five weeks. That's plenty of time to figure out minor things like playcalling inside the ten.
Randy Thomas' injury is more concerning than anything that happened in this game, but they can recover. |

Bridges signed with Arizona. I think we will be fine with Rinehart. If not we could sign Kendal. Pretty sure he could play RG. |
