Re: Did D. Hall Just Blast Zorn and the Inept Offense?
Thanks for the rundown SS.
I agree with the Slingin' one. DHall is saying the right things.
not picking on you and anyone in particular but we didnt pay this guy 28 some-odd million dollars in guaranteed money to say all the right things. |
Re: Did D. Hall Just Blast Zorn and the Inept Offense?
It sounds like he is saying that if you play on a team that has an offense that sucks, you must never make a mistake and give up no touch downs. This definitely sound like offense bashing and coach bashing.

Re: Did D. Hall Just Blast Zorn and the Inept Offense?
I understand Zorn is supposed to be a head coach but I found it interesting listening to Arrington going off on how Zorn could not take constructive criticism from Sam Huff and even went so far as to say Zorn does not have a clue, especially when a Hall of Fame QB, which Zorn is not, stated he called the wrong play at the goal line and Sam would have changed the play call to one with a better percentage and Zorn said he would have benched him the rest of the game.
So basically JC does not have room to wiggle when calling plays. |

or to whiff on blocks and tackles. He did play better then the first game but it was only marginally better. |
Re: Did D. Hall Just Blast Zorn and the Inept Offense?
Here's the deal. Jim Zorn has been, at least I think, called out in the most prolific way, in the media, by insiders, by fans, and more. The Lions game will be absolutely critical and vital to Jim Zorn. His game plan, play calling, and execution will be even more heavily scrutinized. I would think if there were a week that is essential for Jim Zorn to open the offense, it would be this week.

Re: Did D. Hall Just Blast Zorn and the Inept Offense?
Well our offense does look horrible so yea I agree with hall.. We canT expect our d to hold teams to 17 or less every wk
|
Re: Did D. Hall Just Blast Zorn and the Inept Offense?
all zorn says is that the plays werent executed properly!!!!!!!!! I MEAN HELLO!!!!!!!!!! im sure if every play was executed to perfection it would work because when they drew it up it was intended to work
|
Re: Did D. Hall Just Blast Zorn and the Inept Offense?
yeah at some point here zorn needs to open it up and show us whether its JC and the recievers execution or his play calling. no better time than now.
for whatever reason it seems no coach has trusted JC to take the training wheels off and let him ride or fall. - i just want to know whether zorn's playcalling is limited b/c of JC and his lack of trust or - zorn calls some deep balls and JC just doesnt let it go, he pump fakes when he should be throwing then gets sacked or pressured to check down. he doesnt trust his own arm. maybe this is a byproduct of having gibbs hammer any skins qb on how important it is to protect the ball. one thing is certain, i cant remember the last time JC threw a ball to a guy over 20 yds where there was tight coverage. . . .lol its hard for me to take myself serious complaining about our qb not taking chances down field in tight coverage . .ahhh e'fff it lets just run left. go skins!! |
Re: Did D. Hall Just Blast Zorn and the Inept Offense?
As long as someone can through to Zorn they get a free pass in my book. In fact if D Hall's comments somehow result in Zorn changing the way he calls plays in the red zone then he will have earned his pay check for the year regardless of how he plays when he's on the field.
or in twitter terms He b earnin his paper if he gets trough to dis beezwhacks. |
Re: Did D. Hall Just Blast Zorn and the Inept Offense?
I think Hall made some very good comments in a very smart way. He doesn't blast Zorn, but it is an insult by default to Zorn. With that said, Zorn can't say a word about it. Hall is 100% correct.
If the skins can't score in the red-zone this week, who else thinks Danny might put some feelers out on Mike Shanahan's interest in HC for the Skins? |
D. Hall was just on ESPN's First Take
- We made too many mistakes. Defensively, couldn't get off the field on 3rd down - Won't take anything away from the Rams, they played hard - I definitely felt the fans frustration. Any time you get a win in this league you take it. I can feel their frustration though. We should have put the game out of reach - Still think we've got some of the best fans in the world. We need to give them something to cheer about - One mistake could have cost us the game. When I slipped and fell, that one mistake could have cost us the game - Henson is just a young guy, doesn't know what he's talking about (re: the fans). Chalk it up to immaturity - Liked the decision to go for it on 4th and 1 at the 2. Not getting in the end zone is inexcusable (I think that's what he said) - Lions are a dangerous team. We're a 1-1 team going to play an 0-2 team. We can't worry about last year. Last year doesn't matter - Hosting a charity benefit tonight in DC for the Reading Connection
I don't see one thing wrong with what he said. In fact, I think he said it very well. |

Yes. Sam Huff was asleep through it all. |
Re: Did D. Hall Just Blast Zorn and the Inept Offense?
Well maybe we ought to turn the offense over to Sonny and the "D" to Sam. We can call it "Grumpy Old Men 3" and laugh at the ensuing hijinks from 2 old farts who haven't played in over 30 years.
Dude what the hell are you talking about? Are you even reading the same article?
I don't know what is it in here that you are referring to as making excuses for his play and complaining.
He is making excuses cause he trying to say the offense sucks. He/I have to be perfect cause if we give up one score we may lose. No one plays perfect so why say that? Don't make excuses for the offense to justify your poor play. Just say I got beat and I gotta do better next time w/out mentioning the offense. |
