Exactly. We can't run block, so let's not put the cart ahead of the horse. |

Big and physical hope we get him

Re: Chris Henry to work out today
We bring guys in throughout the year and check them out in case of injury later on, that way we have a good idea of where they're at, physically-gameshape etc., in case we need someone at their position. No big deal. It doesn't cost anything and gives us an idea of whether they can fill the position or not.
Why the hell did we re-sign alridge?
Because we needed a backup to the backup (Mason) of our backup running back (Betts). Now it looks like we need a backup to the backup (Alridge) of the backup (Mason) to our backup (Betts). Either that or we have a stable full of backup running backs but none of them are worth a shit in the coaches' eyes. |

He couldn't even average 4 yards per carry in college. In fact he couldn't even average 3.6. I would rather stay as far away from him as possible. My guess though is that they're considering making him a goal line back. |
Re: Chris Henry to work out today
At least it's not Travis Henry.

I'd rather have Travis Henry. At least he was able to average 4.0 ypc. |

In his prison scrubs and his 9 children by different women, a giant bong and tablespoon for his cocaine. |
Re: Chris Henry to work out today
Smootsmack had already posted this in another thread & mentioned that it's typical mid-week biz, maybe his agent asked for the workout & since Smith knows him well, they obliged.
AT the same time, if Henry has blazing speed, maybe Aldrige will be cut again. I really would like to hear that Levi Jones and/or Langston Walker was coming in for a workout. |

Here are the punters we're working out

Also bringing in this guy for a work out Freddie Brown
OMFG! It's crap like this that drives me to think that Matt Millen was Vinny in a fat suit. Here we won't even activate our potentially best young reciever on game day, we have five running backs on the roster, few of which are getting ANY game day reps and yet we bring in a WR and a RB for workouts. God forbid though you should even give a tryout to an OL. |

My thoughts exactly. We have 5 RBs on the team and we are trying out RBs incase someone gets hurt? Come on!! We are bringing in a rookie receiver when the freaking WR coach can't coach the ones we have? What gives? I think this is quite ridiculous. Only thing I could see is them trying to send some messages to the younger guys. Other than that its rather ridiculous. |
Re: Chris Henry to work out today
Well the only legitimate back that we have on the roster is CP. Betts is on the decline so good luck trying to get a draft pick for him in a trade. Rock can give us a few plays at RB but he is no game breaker. Mason runs hard but he has limited game experience and does not have home run ability. Alridge has not even touched the field so what do we truly have as a quaility back up to CP. No harm in bring in a young former high pick RB to see if he can up grade a position that we don't have much depth at. He does have good speed and size. How fast can he pick up our WC offense and impact our offense is the question.

You hit the nail on the head. CP is the only decent back they have and he's dinged up and a plodder rather than a game changer. The Skins do have a few RBs but no depth so maybe this guy with big time speed can be the explosive threat the team needs if he works out. |
