Not a dink and dunk WCO |
I think it was Denny Green.
Bill Parcells. |
Re: Smoot Lays the Smack Down (Redskins vs. Cowboys)
I wouldn't trade up. We don't have the assets to do that
Not a dink and dunk WCO
2yd screen passes are the only passes he throws well. A dink & dunk offense is what he's best suited for. He's not accurate enough to be in an offense that is designed to throw downfield. |

Denny Green yelled at a presser "they are what we thought they were". Parcells said you are what your record says you are. |
You really thinking addressing the line with 1 pick is going to be good enough? you could put Peyton behind this line and we would still not get better QB play...we can only be as strong as our weakest link and our O-line is simply terrible, at this point the worst in the league IMO. I think we trade out of the first and pick up 3 OLs and get a QB/RB in the third/fourth round.
We don't have a 3rd rd. pick, went for Jarmon in the supplemental this year. |
Re: Smoot Lays the Smack Down (Redskins vs. Cowboys)
We have had a terrible year folks, obviouslly we all know tht by now but look at the bright side, this decade of bad football is over! I mean look at our qbs in the 2000's!! Guys like Ramsey, Tim hasselbeck lmao, Jeff George, Tony banks haha.. It's not hard to see y we were so bad. Hell the best qb of the decade was mark Brunell and he was ancient!

Correct on both accounts. But neither quote is entirely 100% accurate if you look at dmek's question. |
Is the season over yet?
Yes, the season has been over for some time now. |

Re: Smoot Lays the Smack Down (Redskins vs. Cowboys)
I think we're all fooling ourselves if we think that if/when our offensive line improves Jason Campbell will morph into this great quarterback, or even a better quarterback. I'm just not sold anymore.
Teams line up behind the quarterback. Litterally and figuratively. We're waiting for everything and everyone else to improve, except Campbell. Great blocking and execution is by and large a product of confidence. Whether it's in the system or the guy lining up behind the center. I'll say the same thing applies to wide recievers catching balls. I've watched Ben Rothlesburger have at least a half dozen crappy games only to thread the needle to some wideout in the last minute or two when it counted. On the flip side, I've always been of the opinion that Dwight Freeney for the Colts has been the benefactor of the style and pace they play offensively. On some level, that's directly attributable to Peyton Manning. Confidence begets confidence, and more often than not it starts with the quarterback and the coach. No particular order, I suppose. For the first time, I'm open to the possibility of Matt Leinart coming here. I'm sure he and Fred Davis could get aquainted in no time, both coming from Pete Carroll's offense. In the meantime, I'm still pulling for Campbell. But support is slipping fast. |
I'd still like to see what JC could do in a more stable environment and with an offense that suits his strengths. Whether he gets that chance remains to be seen.
Funny, out of all the times I have talked negative about JC I actually would like to see how he would do with an extremely better O-line. I completely agree with 12th though. I think JC is what he is. |
Re: Smoot Lays the Smack Down (Redskins vs. Cowboys)
Has Zorn been calling the plays the past two weeks because it sure looks like the same O before Sherm came here?

He just sucks and any support I had for him coming back is now gone. |
