i just cant see how anyone who is a fan of any team can think that they are gonna lose, especially by a big margin.
I take that as questioning my loyalty to the Skins. To me, that is BS. Go F&%$ yourself Big C

From the words of the great Rodney King....."Can't we all just get along?"

FRPLG 10-27-2004 10:54 AM

It's tough to get along with idiots. I get along fine with normal people though. You seem normal.

Big C 10-27-2004 11:24 AM

What's the point of having a thread to predict the game if anyone who picks against the Skins is ripped on? Thinking they will lose is not the same as wanting them to lose! Based on what i have seen this season I don't think they are ready yet to beat a team like GB. That does not mean that i won't be hoping like hell that I am wrong on Sunday. I thought this was America...There is nothing wrong with being criticle of your team. If i want smoke blown up my arse I can just log onto Redskins.com. Five minutes on that site and you can't tell 1-6 from 7-0 anymore...

Big C 10-27-2004 03:34 PM

there was no ripping damn guys, you are all over reacting!!! sorry if i offended anyone!!! jesus

Don't tell me I'm gonna have to lock a gameplan/predictions thread.

A full moon must be coming soon, cause things sure have gotten wacky around here lately.

I changed my mind I want to vote for Kerry and Green Bay.

Brett Farve has gone through a lot in the past year whether hes a football player or not. His wife has cancer, his brother in law dies last week, his dad died last year. None of those things are joking matters.

As far as the picking against the skins. You faith and love of the skins has nothing to do with making a predictino about the game. In fact in a predictions thread who you want to win should have nothing to do with who you think is more qualafied. Argue with facts. Everyone here wants teh skins to win and its not the point of this thread.

Ill look up sites for you guys if you want message boards based on opinion and feel free to discuss anything and everything. but lets limit it to educated opinion here.

If you bash the cowboys though and dont have a good reason to back it up ill let it slide though (wink wink)
I think this is the make or break game for the season. With a win, we go to 3-4 and are on the brink of respectability and maybe building some momentum. A loss drops us to 2-5 and makes breaking .500 a difficult task. I think our defense will keep the game close but it's going to be up to the passing game to pull us through. Breaking down position by position:

QB-Packers
RB-Even
WRs-Even (based on QB play, with even QB play I'd give the nod to the Redskins)
OL-Packers
DL-Redskins
LB-Redskins
DB-Redskins
Special teams-Packers
Coaching-Redskins

Redskins 20-14.
Paintrain.......I concur for the most part.........In live in texas so got to see the Cowboy/Packer game....Sherman called an EXCELLENT game plan last week when he took over for his assistant who just came back from heart bypass surgery. So perhaps call it EVEN on coaching........ I think it's going to come down to whether we can muster a better passing attack than we have in past weeks. If Burnell can get the ball down field, then Coles should have a good game against their secondary, especially if Sharper is hurting with his knee injury or doesn't play. Favre is amazing and the Pack has an excellent O line, their receivers have good speed, and the Pack has a solid running back in Green but he's nursing an achilles injury. Their defense is their weakness, while our defense is our strength....Our CBs can match their WRs. The Redskins cannot turn the ball over with stupid mistakes. Since our D is stronger......Redskins win 17-13.
We also have an election outcome riding on this game........ :D

GB's normal corners may not play... this is as good a game as any to air it out.

That Guy 10-28-2004 01:36 AM

right, if brunell/gibbs can't get it done here, i'll be screaming :( here's hoping it works out...

irish 10-28-2004 09:00 AM

I think GB has a tough time vs the run and is the skins can pound Portis like they did vs chicago I think the skins could eek this game out by a FG.
skins 17
GB 14

htownskinfan 10-28-2004 08:54 PM

I'm in a weird place,I want the skins to win,but if its another crappy outing by Brunell, which I would bet my life it will be,and that makes Gibbs stick with Brunell another week,I'd just as soon we lose if it gets Ramsey in there,if anybody thinks were going anywhere with Brunell your living in a dream world,I'm not saying Ramsey is going to be a miracleworker, but he's got the arm,he can probably scramble just as good as hamstrung brunell, and he's supposed to be our future

Skins4SB 10-28-2004 10:06 PM

Now we don't have Sean Taylor, so I'm not too sure about this game anymore. I felt like he could of been a gamechanger in this game. I sure hope we can muster a W here.
