Re: Apple expected to unveil 'Jesus' tablet today
Everyone cries about touchscreen keyboards but honestly once you get used to it, it's not a huge deal.
Right now the iPad is going to fit a niche market more than anything, but I definitely think it will be interesting to see where this goes in the future. |
Re: Apple expected to unveil 'Jesus' tablet today
Dude it seriously looks like the Reader's Digest large print edition of an iPhone. So it's an iPhone for old people?

Re: Apple expected to unveil 'Jesus' tablet today
It would certainly make playing games at work much harder ;)
It's a giant iPhone basically. Looks cool but I'll wait for the price to come down before I bite.
except it's got no phone, no camera, etc you have to buy adapters to even plug something USB like a camera into it.. no HDMI out.. no true MULTI-TASKING... i'm not paying 500 for something that I can only run one full app at a time, running the same OS as the iphone, so no go on flash once again.. it should be running OS X or a slimmed down version of it plenty of other issues with it |
Re: Apple expected to unveil 'Jesus' tablet today
Yeah certainly nothing to jump at right away. I'll be interested to see where it goes in the future but right now I'll pass.

Re: Apple expected to unveil 'Jesus' tablet today
Yeah that is insane considering it's rumored to be $800 - $1000 right off the bat. I never understood the need to be an early adopter. I'll just wait for the inevitable price drop with the release of the new and improved version in a year.
Very interesting article, looking towards v. 2.0 Apple iPad Shortcomings Spark Questions About Updates - Yahoo! News |

I ordered one for my wife to use at home. I figure it will be convenient for web browsing on the couch or in bed. I went wifi but I'm thinking of changing that over to the 3g version for use on the boat this summer. |

Re: Apple expected to unveil 'Jesus' tablet today
I gave in and ordered one. I'm always using my iPhone when I'm lounging around watching TV at night, figured it would be nice to have a larger screen and a faster device, so I figured why not. Thought it would be good for traveling too. My wife will probably use it a lot as well.

Re: Apple expected to unveil 'Jesus' tablet today
I really see no use for that thing. I have a lap top and I can surf on PS3 if I don't feel like pulling out my lap top. No offense to those that bought it but honestly look s like a waste of $500.
My wife got the Droid last night, pretty cool little phone. |
Re: Apple expected to unveil 'Jesus' tablet today
At one point I thought the iPod wasn't a big need, same for the iPhone. I think tablets are going to be big in the near future, this is just the beginning.
