Re: Albert Haynesworths Brother Killed in Motorcycle Crash
this sucks. i'm sorry for haynesworth's loss...losing a loved one is awful...but it sounds like his half-brother was a bit of a knucklehead. 100 mph near a car-max lot? you're begging for trouble.
i also don't think he will play sunday. maybe not even practice next week. i know he stepped it up last week, and i don't want to sound like a dick, but the fact of the matter is $100 mil can't even generate a respectable work ethic in the man...so i doubt personal tragedy will. i'd love to see it, but like someone else said above, he's never done one thing for the team. he rarely, if ever, steps outside this pattern of selfish behavior. |
Re: Albert Haynesworths Brother Killed in Motorcycle Crash
Would not playing this week be selfish behavior?

Re: Albert Haynesworths Brother Killed in Motorcycle Crash
i don't think so...i mean c'mon, dude just lost his brother. but to expect him to roar outta the tunnel sunday with a vengeance and a newfound inspiration and dedication to his team sounds totally out of character to me.

Re: Albert Haynesworths Brother Killed in Motorcycle Crash
How about we not mention motorcycles or anything like that and just send some prayers to him and his family?
Whether he plays or not, that's truly up to him. If he thinks he could do his brother some honor by playing like a beast, more power to him, but I TOTALLY understand if he doesn't make the game. |

Half brother to be clear. A strong warrior would suit it up and get out there and play the game of his life in his honor. Favre played the DAY AFTER his father died and played one of the most heart felt games I've ever seen. Guess we'll see if Albert is a warrior. The decision should be AH's alone, end of story. |
Re: Albert Haynesworths Brother Killed in Motorcycle Crash
I'm just curious if people are going to hold it against him if he doesn't play.

Sending good vibes and "blessings on the universe" to Haynesworth and his family.

There are some on this sight that will criticize AH no matter what. Even on a thread about the death of his brother, some have to take their shots. It is amazingly sad that people can not put their bitterness aside for one moment and have a little respect for death of a human being....or at least not say anything! |

I wouldn't hold it against him....its a tough loss I'm sure. That being said I personally I don't think he's much of a contributor to the team. |

Maybe they grew up together all their lives like brothers. Additionally, I don't think there's any reason to knock Haynesworth if he chooses not to play on Sunday |

He's more of a contributor than Bryant and Maake |
Re: Albert Haynesworths Brother Killed in Motorcycle Crash
Terrible news. Motorcycles are completely dangerous if not used properly.
I have had friends pass away from improper use. I also have friends who ride them respectfully and are well. It is all about the improper use. My thoughts and prayers go out to AH's family and friends. |
