Re: If You Could Add Just One
honestly i want no one, i just want this team to come out and see where they are with the guys they have. we already made a solid move and got a proven safety, we had what seemed to be a solid draft, and let's face it the chances of us going to the playoffs is slim to none. let's evaulate the talent on hand and go from there, i wanna build a team this go round not try and buy one.
I kind of agree. I think a couple moves and we'll be fine. I mean what's the point of drafting all these guys if we're just gonna go out and build up our starting group through free agency anyways? If we went out in free agency, resigned Santana Moss, Rogers, and Brown, signed a guard to plug in at RG, and signed a combo of Cullen Jenkins and a nose tackle, or even just a nose tackle, I'd be content. What about Jarvis Jenkins? I feel like a 2nd round pick should be a quality starter, and plenty 2nd rounders have come in in their first years and contributed plenty. But do we need to go out and get like 5-8 starters in free agency, not counting resigning our own guys? No. |
Someone hacked Smoots account. Nice try buddy but the real Smoot would never suggest a non-Missouri player or a non-Alex Smith player.
He will get drunk in a bar and go AWOL before the Super Bowl?[/QUOTE] I'll take it you said SB, we made it to the SB sign me up better yet sign him up. |

Davin Joseph or Cullen Jenkins...and the good news is that we might actually get Jenkins.

Re: If You Could Add Just One
I'm shocked - - SHOCKED - - that no one has mentioned signing free agent, Rex Gosssman as "The Guy"...
|
Re: If You Could Add Just One
I'm going to say Cullen Jenkins because our DL is just that horrible. Ryan Kahlil or Logan Mankins would be a close second.

As a free agent, he is not on the Skins' roster or anyone else's... The Skins will surely need a veteran presence as a backup to John Beck lest he get injured during the 16-game season. Since Donovan McNabb is clearly not up to the job, who is going to fill that role if not Rex? Patrick Ramsey? |

Patrick Ramsey?
Well a) Rex is coming back and b) I'm sure most realized that for all intents and purposes Rex would be considered a returning Redskin and c) technically he wasn't officially a free agent when this thread began |

Re: If You Could Add Just One
Why would you want to add Grossman?
To use this fictional free pick up/addition on him would be a waste. Better to add someone that can contribute to some future play off births. |
If I was Nnamdi, my top five would be:
1. Green Bay 2. New York Jets 3. Baltimore Ravens 4. Tampa Bay Bucs 5. Washington Redskins/Houston Texans/Dallas Cowboys In that order. But realistically, the top three teams I would WANT to go to if I was Nnamdi may not be able to make offers competitive with teams like the Bucs, Texans, and Redskins.
I would be thinking. 1. Philly - Best combination of cap room and they're on the cusp of a Super Bowl 2. Houston - Lots of money and could really benefit from an elite defensive player 3. Tampa - A little young but they have lots of money and they have a franchise QB. 4. Atlanta - Might not have the cap room but I would go there if I was looking for a potential Super Bowl birth 5. Washington - Enough money to sign me, doesn't look promising competition wise to an outsider |

How did Dante and NA play together in Oakland? Do we really want the old Raiders CBs at one and two?

Oakland plays man, single assignment, not fit for Hall We play more zone which is why Nmandi could be another Jason Taylor for us, doubt that it would be that bad but the perfect fit isnt there |
