Funny, I know the thread is about Kerrigan, but I don't think Rak has anywhere reached his potential. I think this guy could be one of the best. He just hasn't put it all together.

Kerrigan's play recognition is outstanding for a rookie making a position switch.

He has a football mind, a great motor, is strong as hell and is more slippery than scouts gave him credit for.

Dude is more than a handful already.

What a BEAST draft pick for a team that traded back.

This year's Redskins draft class will go as one best when it's all said and done. We are just scratching the surface, Kerrigan, Helu, Paul are making an impact and as the season progresses others will step up.

I'd love to say I'm surprised with how good Kerrigan has been but........
Future Stars (My Opinion):
Ryan Kerrigan - This guy is Clay Matthews. He out muscles his opponents, never quits, stands out in every game. Taking him at #10 will pay huge dividends to us later.
Von Miller - Beast. Has a great pass rush, but an even better ability to make a big tackle.
Prince Amukamara - If He falls we can't pass him up. Patrick Peterson is without a doubt the better corner, but Amukamara is being overlooked as the "2nd best corner". He's a future shutdown corner with ability to tackle in the box.
They both benefit by having the other on the opposite side. Kerrigan is exactly what we needed to go with Rak.

I can't wait to see these guys dominate for years to come.

Kerrigan needs a year under his belt to become an Orakpo, just for the fact that Brian has had more time to get comfortable in his role as OLB. Ryan had a more dramatic entry into the NFL with his pick six, and his sacks, but he isn't surpassing Orakpo for sometime, if ever. To do that he will have to improve exponentially I think.

Kudos IrMitchell.

With that said, what's up with all the chest pounding on the 'Path recently? first 44ever with his "I told you so" about Torain and now IrMitchell about Kerrigan. No offense bro but it only works if someone else toots your horn, such as if I came in here and said, well IrMitchell deserves major kudos for his Kerrigan prediction before the draft. It just makes you look like an ass for doing it yourself. Again not trying to be hostile here but I'm calling it like I see it.

As to Rak, I generally agree. He has superlative physical ability. I would like to see him develop an effective spin move and/or a nice arm over - he may do them but I don't see them. It seems if he can't bull or speed rush the QB he doesnt get there.

maybe as RK gets more attention, Rak can start developing some techniques that let his speed become more of a factor.

I saw that he used the spin move today...

Way to edit your posts.

just kidding.

But Kerrigan can definitely be better than Orakpo, but right now we have one of the best 3-4 OLB cores in the league. Orakpo is our James Harrison. Kerrigan is our LaMar Woodley.

Whatever dude, you know that since both of them are good, we need to immediately trade the other for picks. If we trade one of our OLBs and Cooley we can have 3 first round picks next year. [/big time sarcasm]

On a serious note, I hope the team can put together an effective offense soon, so we don't waste this defense of ours while it is in its prime.

That's exactly what I just did, I want the entire warpath to notice my eye for talent!

He had a nice inside move too.

2.5 sacks, not bad for a guy with no moves... according to some. :)
