I was thinking Stallworth could fit well up there when we cut him |
Re: Patriots Waive Haynesworth
Speaking of the Iggles, I think we may have dodged the bullet a bit by not signing Cullen Jenkins. I was watching the game last night and they could not generate much of a pass rush against a so-so offensive line.
I said and still think that Cullen Jenkins was way overrated as a FA. Just wanted to pat myself on the back.... |
Re: Patriots Waive Haynesworth
But ... but ... but ... the Patriots are brilliant and never make personnel mistakes!
They don't ever overpay for risky players, which I guess is like not really making a personnel mistake. Fat Albert cost them next to nothing and wasn't a distraction so the franchise "won." |

The Pats problem is their defense, it seems that Tom Brady and the offense cannot carry the entire team. Their DBs are awful, their MLB is out with an injury, they have not run or pass defense whatsoever. As I said, the Pats have bigger problems than AH. |
Re: Patriots Waive Haynesworth
Iggles are pretty far down the line on waiver wire right? Are waiver claims decided by draft order or by current record?
Its based off of current record so they arnt that far down the list, but i honestly doubt anyone will claim him. Too big of a contract (for how hes played the last 3 years) and viewed as a head case, I think any team that is interested would want to have detailed conversations with him before taking a chance with him. I do think that he will sign on with another team and the eagles and tenn are probably at the top of his list, although he may not be at the top of theirs. |
Re: Patriots Waive Haynesworth
Eagles or Raiders.

I completely agree, but thats irrelevent to them seeing Stallworth as an upgrade over Ochocinco for them (purely my speculation). Theres nothing they can really do about there defense at this point but it doesnt mean they should just forget about fixing their other problems. |
Re: Patriots Waive Haynesworth
You know i could honestly see him just retiring.

Bill Belicheck is suffering from Brian Billick Syndrome. - A former genius coordinator who serves as a great head coach but struggles to get the side of the ball he specializes in to work up to his standards. Example, Brian Billick was a top notch offensive coordinator in Minnesota but struggled to get the Ravens in the top half of the league when it came to offense. Shanahan has a little of this going on right now with a strong defense and an anemic offense. |
Re: Patriots Waive Haynesworth
Unbelievable how far this guy's game has deteriorated. Waste of talent. I would say the Eagles or the Titans too. I don't know if Reid would want this guys though.

Re: Patriots Waive Haynesworth
Well the reason he got cut was because of his attitude. I'm sure the times he didn't start this year was because of that. I was watching the Pats/Giants game and he actually looked okay.
He looked awful. The Giants ran a play right at him and he got pushed out of position, then was seen getting yelled at by the coaches and wasn't seen again. Bottom line is he's just really not a good player. The Pats defense is awful so that says a lot if they've seen enough. |
Eagles or Raiders.
I honestly think he's done. |

Not much of a choice at this point. Still the Eagles are another team that could care less about taking on troublemakers. They have traded for T.O and signed Michael Vick among others. Besides they're desperate for some kind of push up the middle, even if it's a reckless non-team player that only cares about his stats. |
Re: Patriots Waive Haynesworth
Eagles will probably sign him. They desperately need a disruptive force up the middle. Hopefully a crappier team then us claims him.
Yea the eagles definitely do need a disruptive force .. So who do you think they'll pick up?? |
