Re: The Skins Are Really A Very Horrible Bad Team
Team is a QB away from being a contender in this division. Shanny and Co. have being building in different areas as in the entire defense, Oline, RB and getting a decent group of young receivers. Everyone can see Fred Davis has grown into a good TE. We are trending in the right direction.
I expect heavy focus on the offense in the offseason as the defense seemed to be priority last year. Rebuilding is hard to stomach, but at least we are finally taking the right steps. Add a QB, free agent WR, starter or 2 on the Oline, depth in the secondary, a new ILB...we will be solid. I dont know if anyone has seen the free agents list for next year, but they are plentiful at RB, WR, OG, Center...all positions we need to improve in. |

Q: Have you given up on the season? A: Yes Not yet Depends on how long Beck is QB.
Yes. |

Lets per say.....we put Tom Brady behind center for the Skins, or Manning, Montana, Young, oooooooor FN OTTO Grahm hell it dont make a dern!!! The opposing team would drop trou a take a dump on them!!!! The defense has gotten a smidge better, but halfass it and probably lead the NFL in missed tackles. If the skins played d like they did last year we wouldnt be getting beat every game by 50. No offense CHico im just venting for the day, Crusty over and out. |
Re: The Skins Are Really A Very Horrible Bad Team
I agree with Chico. If we had a QB things would be very different. The running game, WR's, OL, and defense would all look better.

Like Mark Rypen and Doug Williams, yeah they sure were great, when are they up for the Hall of Fame? I know, i know different era, different coaching style. Wait didnt Trent Dilfer win a SB? Brad Johnson?? |
Re: The Skins Are Really A Very Horrible Bad Team
Dilfer and Johnson both had all time great defenses backing them up. A great Qb obviously helps hides a lot of flaws.

We'll need to nab a franchise qb in the next draft, but will he be able to play in year 1? Our o line needs two drafts of mid to early round picks. A couple of injuries has really shown how poor the depth is. Drafting T. Williams in the 1st last year was the start, but we're quite a ways away. |

I'm in the Chico fan club as well! Maybe a bit more than a QB away... BUT we are positioned to have a momentous off season with the Draft....Bountiful crop of QB's coming out and plenty of money under the cap for some key FA acquisitions as well! Jarvis Jenkins coming back Httr..... |

Re: The Skins Are Really A Very Horrible Bad Team
I'll still watch the Skins during the rest of this season, but without any emotion for the most part. I'm not gonna lie, a small part of me hopes we lose out so we can get the best QB possible...
They are definitely a bad team. I'm cautiously optimistic about the future, but I certainly have no hope for this season other than to watch some of our young guys develop.
Right now there are eight teams that have records worse than ours: Indy, Miami, Jacksonville, Cleveland, Denver, St. Louis, Arizona, Minnesota, Carolina, and Seattle. Now, who knows where everybody will wind up. Of those teams, only Carolina, Cleveland, St. Louis and Jacksonville won't take quarterbacks with their first pick. So, true to form, the Redskins will do just well enough to miss out on possibly the top three QBs coming out in the draft, unless one of those teams gets on a winning streak. I see the Redskins winning maybe one or two more games barring some sort of miraculous turn-around for Beck or Grossman. We'll have to package some picks to move up. |
Re: The Skins Are Really A Very Horrible Bad Team
a horrible bad team deserves a horrible bad thread I guess
I can't stand to watch another minute of Redskins football. I guess what I am trying to say is that I have given up on the season....you? I'm guessing probably since my attempt to sell two LL tickets to the 49ers game below face value resulted in no takers... fortunately my brother in-law's sons enjoy getting free tickets and going to FedEx for the atmosphere.
p.s. Message me if you're interested in buying tickets to the Patriots or Jets game and if you like being punched in the gut you can have both. I will give you a good deal.
Do you have tix to the Seattle game? I've always wanted to see a game there. |
