Re: AFC/NFC Championship Game Thread
I could live with that. Especially after all the NFC Least talk at the end of the season.
I don't know if I could live with it necessarily. Though of the other NFC East teams, I can most tolerate the Giants. Watch Devin Thomas will return some punt for a TD in the Super Bowl and be named MVP (shades of Desmond Howard). I don't know what would be worse, seeing Devin Thomas in the SB or Carlos Rogers. Off the top of my head cant' recall what other former Redskins there are in the NFC title game (well, I guess Selvish Capers) The AFC opponents are just who I thought it would be |
Right now I'm leaning Giants vs. Patriots with Eli getting his 2nd ring
Wait, so will that mean that Eli is a better QB than his brother? |

Re: AFC/NFC Championship Game Thread
Guess you missed the end of the Houston game when Ed Reed looked like he needed a wheel chair to get off the field. they have been very quiet about his injury, I think it is bigger then advertised. Plus Brady is not going to make the mistakes that TJ did.
Houston basically handed that game to B-more. IMO this is the blow out game with the Pats going to the big dance. The close game will be 49ers/ G-man.
i heard him on sirus this week, he sounds fine, he probably won't practice but he'll be out there this weekend, i'll bet on that. |

Surprised Reed said this.
"I think Joe was kind of rattled a little bit by (Houston's) defense," Reed said on SiriusXM NFL Radio on Monday, according to ProFootballTalk. "(The Texans) had a lot of guys in the box on him. And, I mean, they were getting to him. I think a couple times he needed to get rid of the ball. I don't know how much of the play-calling ... but it just didn't look like he had a hold on the offense. ... It was just kind of like (Baltimore's coaches) was telling him to do, throw the ball or get it here, you know, get it to certain guys. And he can't play like that."

"You know, one particular play that sticks out to me is when (Pro Bowl running back) Ray Rice came out of the backfield, he got pushed down and Flacco still threw him the ball and you got one on one with (wide receiver) Torrey Smith on the outside," Reed told SiriusXM, according to ProFootballTalk. "But it's hearsay for me. I can say that sitting on the sidelines, you know, or sitting in the stands. You just never know what somebody else is seeing."
I'm going on record. If the Ravens lose this game and Flacco has another bad game, it will end Cam Cameron's tenure in Baltimore. Last year they blamed Jim Zorn and fired him. He's the next guy in line and much of their play calling has been suspect this year. |

Honestly, I really don't see the big deal here. Looks like PFT is just looking for a story that is not there. That said, Flacco looked like a rookie out there and needs to step it up, esp facing a defense that has let QBs pass for a ton of yards. |

I'm rooting for them, but for no other reason than they have 6 SB Titles. The "Steeler Nation" trump card; gone. |

totally agree, what you said is basically the same thing reed said, or at least thats what i heard. and i think flacco is capable exploiting the pats d, especially if torry smith has a good game. i don't think flacco can hang with brady but if his d helps him out he can do enough to win. |
