How can they say he didn't spend lavishly if he blew through that much dough? Even with almost 50k a month in child support?
Of course he blew most of it away buy buying luxury products AND/OR failed investments. But I was just pointing out that if he were really dumb to not know about contraception, every chick he banged would be with a kid from him, not just these four.

That Rosenhaus is a real scumbag. According to the article many of the bad investments TO made were with financial advisors/investors recommended to him by Rosenhaus. Same thing apparently happened with DeSean Jackson.

At the same time these guys have no brains. How do you blow through that much money? It just amazes me how stupid they are. NBA guys are the worst apparently. I think it was Sports Illustrated that published that study a few years ago that like 60% of retired players are go bankrupt within 5 years of calling it quits. Pathetic.

Her, last month: "It's ok, I'm on the pill."

Her, this month: "I never said I was on the pill!"

He is back to playing football, not in the NFL, but in the IFL with the Allen Wranglers in Texas. I think he is making almost a million with them, and supposedly part of his deal has an offer of co-ownership, so he at least has an opportunity to earn a living.

I believe he will be back in the NFL if he plays good down there and can show teams that alot of the hate on him is not justified.

I believe TO in some of the things he said in the article. I've said it before and I'll say it now, T.O. has never told a lie. TO's problem is he says things at the wrong time. TO has also been vindicated now for a lot of things that he's said in the past. Some of the things he said about McNabb way back then were said here, and also in Minnesota last year.

I just don't get this let other people invest you money shit... I only would trust someone who has made more money than me... otherwise it is better to make NOTHING extra.. just keep the money owed to you... not like you HAVE to add to 80m..
Think he's squirmed long enough to take him as a vet min. and he's be a decent team player? or should he still get to taste how the rest of us live because of his selfish years in the NFL.
Highly unlikely.

Most psychologists will tell you that the BEST predictor of future behavior is PAST behavior.

"Touch this one at your own risk" should be on the label T.O. carries for the rest of his life when it comes to any kind of dealings with an NFL team...

Not quite. Guys who are wealthier than you could have no clue how to invest because they make all the money through higher wages and have no experience in how to invest. Things like buying the right amount of T-Bills, Treasury Notes, stocks, mutual funds are not well known among most people, even some wealthy folks. The concept of return on investment is not intuitive to everyone. If you want someone else to do in, you need guys who "know the machinations" of the sector they're investing in.

In some ways, investing is like building a fantasy football team, except money is being spent instead of draft picks and your return is more money instead of points.

I'd trust our fellow Warpather Schneed over some folks wealthier than he is.
I totally agree that all that money for a child is rediculous but thats not what it's about. In VA the court system takes both the fathers and mothers income and comes up with a mathmatical figure as to what child support should be based off of each parents income. So $50,000 a month is probably based off his millions each year he earned.

I presume each state is different but this is VA. The courts don't just say ok on average $600 dollars a month should be all that 1 child should receive. It's all based off what both parents make.
And that's a pretty reasonable way of doing it. If I understand correctly, you only pay child support when you don't have custody? It would be sort of absurd to be making $10 million a year and only paying $500 a month in child support. If nothing else, it provides a reason to be more responsible, although in this case TO certainly didn't get the message.
While Ive read a couple articles including this one yesterday, my question still remains, where did the 80 million dollars go? He has yet to explain it. Im not buying him not living lavishly, I watched his show several times, and he was always spending major money and flaunting. I watched as he bought a pair of earrings or earring for something like 90k at a upscale jewelry store. 4 kids, 4 different women? He gets zero sympathy from me and deserves everything he gets...
It doesn't sound like he lost the bulk of his money spending it, he lost most of it through poor investing. And that's the funny thing; it makes you wonder how much is enough? When you start piling up that kind of money, tens of millions of dollars, why feel the need to invest it? Hell, if you were to simply put 50 million dollars in a savings account with 2% interest, at the end of the year you'd have 51 million dollars! You'd be basically be making a million dollars a year by doing NOTHING with it.
I never liked T.O. but he gets some sympathy from me here (not on the 4 kids from 4 women thing though). A lot of these guys end up trusting the wrong people with their money and end up getting in bad investments. All the hard work and sacrifice they put in to get to NFL and they end up with nothing.
You've got a big heart JonTrem, but I can see what you mean. And it sounds like the mistake TO made here was trusting Rosenhaus. A guy as savvy as Rosenhaus knows what he's doing in all matters concerning money. If he suggested TO invest money with people who lost all that money, you know that Rosenhaus was telling those guys that TO's a sucker and they have nothing to lose. Hell, his investors probably still have a shit ton of his money.

Seen this post on youtube, lmao!!!

$49 million for seven years, + $10 million signing bonus with the Eagles
$25 million for three years + $5 million signing bonus with Dallas
$6.5 million for one year with the Bills
$2 million for one year with the Bengals
Not including endorsements and other deals, that's $97.5 million for 7 years work ($13.9 million/yr)
