Re: Robert Griffin III: The Man Behind The Name
According to Albert Breer since December, but it is being reported now. LOL.
Holmgren still holding a grudge I guess. It's BS that some unnamed scout can throw crap like that out there. In the big picture though, who cares. We all know it's garbage. |
Re: Robert Griffin III: The Man Behind The Name
His response was very childish.
"Albert Breer @AlbertBreer Because you know what he's like, right? Gimme a break."
I proceeded to remind him who was the reporter. NC_Skins @NC_Skins23 @AlbertBreer I"m not a reporter either. Do your homework and cover your bases. You want to report what scouts says but not his school? ---------------------------------------------------------------- NC_Skins @NC_Skins23 @AlbertBreer Reporters need to be fair, balanced and unbiased. If you hear a accusation, back up that claim with supporting people ---------------------------------------------------------------- NC_Skins @NC_Skins23 @AlbertBreer Also, I have no qualm if you said this back in December with your writeup. It coming out now has agenda written all over it. He's on the Wise show right now, and he keeps bringing up what a scout has said, but he doesn't even acknowledge anything that the Baylor staff has said. Horrible journalism. |
Re: Robert Griffin III: The Man Behind The Name
Hey, I think it's very fair. Why didn't he bring up those "character issues" in his RGIII breakdown back in Dec?
NFL.com news: With Barkley now out of picture, attention turns to Griffin He's waiting to now to verify what scouts have supposedly said? He never bothered checking with Baylor AD or staff to verify such allegations? Eff him. If he wants to be a "reporter" than he needs to do his job thoroughly and correctly. That means covering his bases and backing up any claims instead of propagating agendas. He deserves every bit of flak he's catching right now.
He's not saying hey this is true. He's just saying yes, I know some scouts have said this. |

So why bother? Why didn't he just put that in his report back in December? That's a huge accusation to levy right before the draft. I'm not saying his report is wrong or false. I'm questioning his timing and not reporting both sides or confirming it with other people. |
Re: Robert Griffin III: The Man Behind The Name
Just read Dan Graziano's comments on RG3 and found this to be a rather powerful statement:
Griffin's name will be the second one called a week from tonight at Radio City Music Hall, and he'll put a Redskins cap on and flash that enormous smile. His progress during the offseason and training camp will be fodder for regular updates on TV, in the newspapers and on the Web. He is tasked with resurrecting a Redskins franchise that has been waiting for him for nearly his entire life. He's big news, and if you want to know more about him, Tom and the Mag have you covered.
I'm really looking forward to next season... |

Re: Robert Griffin III: The Man Behind The Name
Great story SS. I find It hard to believe that he has character issues. All we have heard about is how he is such a hard worker, disciplined military kid, intelligent, and so on. I am excited to see the kid this year.

But I think Andrew Luck will actually get the (somewhat undeserved) rookie of the year award when he leads the Colts to the playoffs in the NFL's weakest division. |
Re: Robert Griffin III: The Man Behind The Name
Great read. I love hearing about young athletes not satisfied with their major milestones and acheivements. This kid says again and again that he is driven and seems his character won't fail. Too bad he doesn't have a rocket arm and cheetah speed....
We deserve a full package guy. |

I can understand why people would have some of these criticisms, but my biggest critcism is that why isn't he getting knocked for playing in the same offense as Case Keenum, if Keenum is getting knocked? Some would say the Big 12 is tough competition, but this year I'd have to say there were 3 great teams in the Big 12 Defense-wise. |

I don't often see eye to eye with NC but I gotta agree here. |
Re: Robert Griffin III: The Man Behind The Name
Houston should take that division again.
|
Re: Robert Griffin III: The Man Behind The Name
Houston has no depth. And it's a long season.
