"You have to do things that other people either won’t do or they can’t do. You have to approach practice as if it’s a game."

“And that’s something that I have a hard time doing sometimes. I kind of like to kind of coast in practice, make it look at easy as possible, try to save it all for the game. But Shannon made the point that if you’re going so hard in practice that you feel like you’re playing in a game, then by the time you get to the game, everything’s easy."

oh boy...Classic D Hall
I like the fact that he realized that trying to save himself for a game was not the way the elite of the game do things. I cannot knock a guy who is trying to get better. Good for him.

oh yeah i agree, I just feel more foolish defending him as i did in the past...lol.

D Hall probably had his worst season since his Raiders' year last year. Can he bounce back? I think he can, cant keep that Hokie down

I heard cousins passed the EYEBALL test while RGIII struggled.

I think it's expected. Cousins played in a pro-style offense. Griffin has more to learn after coming out of the spread.
Always remember. The standard of play in the preseason for "on-track" teams is not very high.
So true. Everybody's undefeated so far, this season. lol

I'd expect Griffin to not be on the same page with his receivers. But hearing praise about his arm strength is encouraging to me.
I have to get one of those tee shits!
I really wish those days were over. You rarely hear about the Pats, Packers, or Steelers making risky (high-cost) moves in the offseason.

"Defensively, rookie cornerback Chase Minnifield made a nice interception across the middle on a pass from quarterback Rex Grossman."

Its early, but I keep seeing his name....its a good sign.

yes it is a good sign, especially when redskins.com mentions him among the Key Injuries/players sitting out

5. OK, last week in the one practice open to the media Rex Grossman threw the best of all the quarterbacks. He looked good again today – but had his one moment that defies reason. On the play, Grossman was under pressure and as he was looking to his right, threw off his back foot over the middle. Wrong move: rookie corner Chase Minnifield was there and intercepted the pass.

6. Minnifield continues to impress. He did a nice job in man coverage vs. Pierre Garcon on one play, executing a good jam and then turning and running stride for stride down the field, forcing Robert Griffin III to look elsewhere. Minnifield hasn’t looked overmatched vs. the starting receivers.

Minnifield is looking like the 2nd rounder that we didn't have due to the trade, I see him wining a starting job.

Neither Cousins nor Griffin have a chance against Crompton, the clear starter.
