My new plan is:

3.5 Gallons Liquid Nails

6.5lbs Log Splitter

1000 Lumens Flashlight

Set a sticky trap, blind with light as they pause, and hack to pieces.

Re: Home Depot Battle Royale

my god i'd pay a lot to see a well thought-out movie based on all this. or maybe like a reality tv show....

hmm...

first episode: you get to know the players and their backgrounds.

second episode: you get to take a tour of the home depot, it's intricacies, possible choke points and/or camping spots, etc. interviews with players and their thoughts on the layout. maybe a preview of possible weapons.

third episode: weapons. various experts (people working in different types of fields) explain their favorite loadouts, and how they could defeat the other experts' loadouts. maybe a brief strategy session with some of the players. or maybe even better, each of the playerss get to pick an expert to help them.

fourth episode: weapon draft. in this reality tv version, players also get a fourth pick: where they'd like to start the game. last segment of this show has graphics on each player's weapons, and where they start on a giant home depot board. teasers for the next 2 weeks' worth of action.

fifth episode: action. players get eliminated down to 5 from the original 10.

final episode: action. champion is crowned and given a 3-minute home depot shopping spree, bringing back the days where kids like me dreamed of pillaging toys 'r us.

it could work.

and oh yeah, Gus Johnson calls the action.

Also, this game should be how green cards are awarded

I think I only need two items.
A fire extinguisher and a ball peen hammer.
While you are reeling from an extinguisher shot to the face I spill your gray matter with the hammer.

Well, while you're up in the ceiling with a cutting torch the rest of us will be hurling galvanized steel garden faucets at you.
You wont last long.

Can't believe no-one suggested bringing in a "price comparison" with another store.

Womp Womp WOOOOOOOOOMMMMP

That's not in the spirit of the game OR the rules. I'm actually headed to HD this morning to grab a few things, I can just picture my convo with the associate.

"Hi there sir! How can I help you today?"
"Yes I'm looking for the most effective way to kill 9 people in your store....er...umm......a hammer. I need a hammer."

Right, lol. I'm hiding under a flipped over bathtub with a hatchet anyway so, roll with it.

I still would take my luck with a nail gun, box of nails, and a large compressor then hide out and take people down. Remember a nail gun holds two clips of nails for a total of 50 nails that I could pop off pretty quick. All you have to do is hold the safty open and fire away. The nails actual fly pretty straight out of a nail gun for about 25 yards. Pump up the compressor to 150 psi and you really have a weapon.

yea but the problem here is how accurate are you going to be in the semi dark with it? Even if accurate up to 25, how much damage is it really going to do? I can see way too many scenarios where you pump 5-10 nails into someone as they rush you and they still hammer you're face in.

Plus it's super loud when it charges, alerting everyone in the store to your position and making you a super easy and probably one of the first targets. No real mobility trying to drag that sucker around either. The hit and run hatchet and hammer guys would have a field day with that.

Yea but with those too he can still be mobile enough to hit and run. A dry chemical extinguisher to the face is extremely unpleasant and disorienting but the gas mask guys are gonna laugh and stab you with there 12v pole saws, lol.
