Re: I'm Going On INDY Radio To Discuss Luck vs RGIII!
Yeah I don't buy that thinking, because the Colts really had one bad year. They haven't been a franchise mired in mediocrity.
THANK YOU! It drives me crazy when I hear how Luck "brought the Colts back from the dead" yada yada yada. Here's the history of the Colts: - Sucked ass after Unitas. - Their years of incompetence left them with a high draft pick to get Peyton. - They rode the hall of famer to 11 playoff appearances in 12 years. They won 8 division titles in that time. - When their star goes down for one year how does the storied franchise respond?? 2-14. - Their incompetence left them with a high draft pick to get Luck. Wash rinse repeat. Ask Colt fans if they feel GUILTY for having Peyton for 12 years, then getting Luck for the next decade. All the Colts know how to do is suck, and draft HOF QBs. You can quote me. :) |
Re: I'm Going On INDY Radio To Discuss Luck vs RGIII!
Some stats. He's way behind in yards, attempts, completions, and slightly behind in TDs. Now granted, I would prefer RGIII's stats to Luck's so lets get that cleared up before any knuckleheads decide to read more into than what's said.
Bottom line is, Luck has less to work with than RGIII does, and is asked to do more than RGIII is. Would he be causing that many TOs if he had a running game like we do? Who knows. Does Luck have a Trent Williams or a Montgomery blocking for him? Not hardly. Our 3rd string TE(paulsen) has outperformed all of their TEs. (including Fleener) Remember, that Colts defense is one that gave up 352 rushing yards the other week so it's not like that defense is carrying the team. It's not.
Pretty much sums it up. Luck has a below average line and outside of Wayne they really don't have a quality NFL wr. He's done a really nice job in his rookie year IMO. But this guy Hilton that they drafted really looks like he's going to be a player. |

If I was them I would break out how bad last year was.....their offense was much worse than the Skins; above is how u counter it -"pfft one bleeping year of bad vs 20 year, two decades of complete inccompetence" |
So you wouldn't bring that up?
The thinking from Indy's perspective is Luck has brought the franchise back from the dead and turned them around. ButI hear ya.
They had one losing season in the last ten years!!! |
Re: I'm Going On INDY Radio To Discuss Luck vs RGIII!
Don't go off QBR; its what Trent Dilfer made to make sure Aaron Rodgers is number 1 every year.
Mention what I've been saying for the past week; Andrew Luck has put his team in these holes and has gotten his team out of it. "An Arsonist that puts out his own fires" You can mention that Luck has the second most turnovers in the league behind...Mark Sanchez. RG3 only has 5 picks RG3 has more Rushing yards RG3 has lost weapons on offense and defense and this team is riding high. Lucks defense is much better and his offensive weapons have remained the same. |

False. Beside Reggie Wayne, that's not true. (Gonzalez, Garcon, CLark are all gone) Colts defense ranked #26. Ours is ranked #28. We both give up the same points per game at 24.7. Much better? ROFL. If anything, our defenses are equal. |
Re: I'm Going On INDY Radio To Discuss Luck vs RGIII!
Done. That wasn't so bad.
He gave like two or three shout outs to the Warpath. |

Nice 12th , liked that fact you brought up the past 20 years , and that we can beat Dallas & win our Division !

Re: I'm Going On INDY Radio To Discuss Luck vs RGIII!
So you wouldn't bring that up?
The thinking from Indy's perspective is Luck has brought the franchise back from the dead and turned them around. ButI hear ya.
The way I see it is this, Luck has not done anything for the Colts that Manning could not have done or has not done. The Colts laid down last season in order to get Luck. They are virtually the same team they have been for many years. RG3 on the other hand has lifted the entire Redskins organization, coaches and fan base. He has single handedly changed the franchise as a whole from a team that basically could not win to one that can not lose. Sorry this is late but still wanted to air it out. |
Re: I'm Going On INDY Radio To Discuss Luck vs RGIII!
By the way, Jake try to slip in Luck started with less argument, I rebutted with many of the points raised here. So thanks to all.

Re: I'm Going On INDY Radio To Discuss Luck vs RGIII!
Chico and scowan have good points. Another good point is the yards per rush that RG3 has, almost 7 yards a rush, passes for over 3300 yards his rookie year in a run first offense. 4 picks on the year. ONLY 4. Another good point is that RG3's lowest accuracy game is vs. pittsburgh, where there were 10 drops credited to the WR's. He was 57.7% in that game. He has a higher completion percentage than luck's average in his WORST game. Lets not even talk about the yards per reception, at RG3's 8.2 vs Lucks 6.6.
I think even with the game and a half missed, he runs away with the award. And the two games missed might even work in his favor. (as in, think about what his stats would look like had he played in those two games type thinking!!!!) |
