He's also a 7th round pick where as Hall was taken with the 9th overall pick, I like this pickup. Biggers still has room to grow. Hall is what he is.
Where the players were taken in the draft is completely irrelevant at this point. Biggers is a 4 year veteran; he also "is what he is." |
We'll bring back hall, it's basically a given at this point. He wants to stay in Washington

It would be pretty stupid to have both Hall and Biggers. Biggers is like DeAngelo Hall, but without the upside (ie paymaking ability). |

What if Hall is being brought back as a FS first and a situational corner? |
Re: Official Redskins Free Agency Thread 2013 Part II
I like the signing. Taking guys that have some talent that may not yet be realized. Most likely a team friendly deal and has the chance to grow into a good player. Minimal impact if he doesn't pan out, big payout if he does!

Then y would we sign biggers then?? That would make no sense lol. Hall is better than u guys give credit for. Every corner in the league gets burned, only a few are really really good. |
Re: Official Redskins Free Agency Thread 2013 Part II
I don't think Biggers was brought here to replace D.Hall as the starting corner. Hopefully D.Hall will be back anyway.

Ha..people are seriously saying Biggers is better than Hall? smh

I agree with this. If he grows into a great player, excellent. If not, we probably don't have much invested. |
Who knows he may be pretty good?? Probably not but we'll see
I got a good feeling on this guy. Even if he is a slot guy we will draft a starting FS and CB this draft. This defense will ce together and Biggers is just another piece. Sorry guys but we can't get any worse than we already were. If the FO wants this guy then there must be something about him that they like and feel he can fill a role on the team. |
Re: Official Redskins Free Agency Thread 2013 Part II
So every time he gives up a big gain I'm definitely gonna say YOU'RE KILLIN ME, SMALLS!

Boom! But we'll still need a starting corner in this scenario, be it via FA or draft. |
Ha..people are seriously saying Biggers is better than Hall? smh
Yeah I mean he's only been a 3X pro bowler and a starter every where he's been but he's worse than some dude named EJ Biggers that nobody even knows of. |
Re: Official Redskins Free Agency Thread 2013 Part II
I admit I didn't know much about Biggers prior to today. He sounds more like a depth guy than anything. I highly doubt we're done addressing the CB position.

I agree hall is better. Biggers is a cheap nickle/backup. Under no circumstances would the team bring hall back and have Biggers and hall on the field at the same time. Both are gamblers who cant cover. It would be a recipe for disaster. |
