I don't like to speculate when these types of events happen, so I'm going to reserve my opinion on the perpetrator/s until the facts are known. But it should be pretty obvious by now that this was a coordinated attack, and not something accidental. If that's the case, I hope they find the people responsible for this and do what they need to do. It pisses me off knowing we have to play by the rules when extremists don't. Hopefully justice will be served.
Our Government has allowed this type of thing to continue and blossom. Perhaps if enough people senselessly die at the hands of madmen, we can.....get serious with the madmen and worry a little less about hurting someones feelings.....
I vote we adopt an aggressive policy for "assault explosives" in this country...
That should do it..

I've always loved running Boston because the noise from the crowd really motivates you. Now I wonder what they'll do. I hope we don't lose the bands at mile 6, the Wellesley girls (ESPECIALLY the Wellesley girls), the BC and BU beer chuggers, and the people at the finish line. Their hoots and hollers really carry you through.
I also used to live 5 blocks from the finish line and passed the blast site on my way to work every day. :-(
Hopefully people make it through as best as possible and the marathon world can continue to be as close as possible to the way it was.

On the note related to the idea that they deal with the perpetrators, I think they also need to do something about the culture that "incubates" these terrorists; this applies independent of if they are foreign or domestic.
your point is true, but I also am always amazed that the US sees so little of this type of attack.
Me too. I think there are things we could do, or not do, so people won't want to attack us, but its amazing considering all that America is involved in, both foreign and domestic, that attacks here are as limited as they are. Considering our inability to not get involved in everything, it makes you appreciate the diligence of the people who are putting their entire lives in preventing these attacks as much as possible.

Yeah after seeing the photos from it, you would think it was from a movie.

It's crazy to think it was supposed to be much worse. Sad day all around. And that one of the fatalities was an 8 year old child is heartbreaking

So my Hawaii news station was saying 2 dead 90 injured. The NY post was saying 12 dead 50 injured. You're saying 3 dead 141 injured. Then we hear that the 'suspect' was captured and is a Saudi. Then we hear he no one has been captured. What is up with reporting today?

Yeah there are a bunch of reports out there, I saw that on our local OKC news so who knows.
