Re: Which other NFL HC's should be fired?
How would you rank the openings?
1. Detroit - Most talent in place. Have QB. 2. Washington - QB in place. Money to spend. 3. Cleveland - Some very good talent. Need QB. 4. Houston - Good foundation. Need QB. 5. Tampa - Improved defense. Need QB. Good weather. 6. Minn - Aging stars. Need QB. Bad weather.
1. Detroit - Agree on Talent 2. Houston - Good Defense, Best defensive player in the NFL, some good talent on offense, and number one overall pick. 3. Washington - Talent at QB. Defense is just terrible. 4. Cleveland - Like you said, just need a QB 5. Tampa - Lavonte David is a beast. A few other good players. Franchise seems willing to spend money to resign players or go after other players. 6. Minnesota - No stadium next year and just a bad situation. |

Houston's biggest problems this season were with undisciplined play and poor play-calling. They do need a QB, but they have the first overall pick. If I'm a HC candidate, I go to Houston. |

Bucs completely cleaned house, fired GM Domenik along with Schiano.

But I can understand why others might rank the HOU and CLE jobs ahead of WAS. |
Louis Delmas, he is one of the better safeties in the NFL. He is better than anything Washington has that is for sure.
I concede this. I think Reed Doughty is an awesome person, I'm just tired of seeing him start for us. Every year it seems "let's upgrade so no more Doughty" and yet every year he ends up starting a large chunk of games for us. And Meriweather has been unspectacular. |
Jason Garrett is in the bottom 3 of coaching in the league. no question imo. He is just a yes man, and Jerry loves that.
Callahan and Kiffen should be gone.
Kiffen should be run out of town. Marinelli deserves a pay raise. For what he had to work with all season, Marinelli did a great job. |

True. I wonder if Marinelli will become your new DC since IMO Kiffen is a dead man walking. |
Re: Which other NFL HC's should be fired?
Schwartz has fulfilled his purpose. He took a cellar-dweller and got it to mediocrity. But now he's a fetter on the Lion's talent and I'm more than happy to see his ass go. Really he should have been gone last year.
Some of us in the Lion's fandom are calling for Martin Mayhew's head too but I don't really have too much of a problem with him being retained. Aside from his second round draft woes, he's more or less done his job with getting talent on the field. They just haven't been coached well enough. That's on Schwartz and his staff. I hope we get an offensive-minded guy who can make the most of Stafford. Because God knows while he will never be Peyton Manning or Tom Brady, I think with the right coaching he can bee good enough, e.g. a Flacco or an Eli. |

As I see it three pieces are needed: 1) A competent coach 2) A true #2 WR (seriously, our receiving corps sans Megatron is a joke) 3) Get Stafford to improve his mechanics and turnovers (no more sidearm crap) |

Marinelli is a fantastic defensive coach and worked serious miracles with the shit show that Dallas had most of the year on that line. I liked him from his time in Detroit. No talent, no excuses, got up there after every loss, every week and owned it. If they don't at least consider him for the DC job in Dallas, I'd absolutely love to have him here in any capacity. |

I agree there, but I just see him as an average to above average safety |

Delmas is a serviceable safety when healthy. And that's really all I can say about him. If he would be the best safety on the Redskins that's a pretty damning indictment of your secondary. And on the subject of coaches that SHOULD have been fired, I can't believe Jerruh kept the Red Robot. Cowboys fans better hope JJ doesn't live to be in his 90s, because if he does, whooo boy they are screwed. |

Alas, he would be our best safety. |
