Re: who we gonna get?
true none of us know what is gonna happen but it is fun to speculate. i just thought that i would see they said about vincent on ESPN INSIDER-
(6'4", 241, 4.51) 39 inch leap
They said that he is from a small school and has GREAT top end speed and exeptional size. He has been productive, and can jump and has long arms to snag the ball, he is stronger than most DBs and will outmuscle them.Reliable hands and does a good job catching the ball even if it is not thrown very well, gives effort at blocker but has the size and strength to be dominant if his skill is taken advantage of.
Very bad acceleration, no burst or sharp cuts, he isn't good at running routes, he slows down when he puts the moves on and needs to keep his speed better (CP will teach him that!), Good PR in college but not good enough for nfl w/o elusiveness (SM aka small man will teach him that)

"He had 66 receptions for 1,462 yards and 21 touchdowns as a junior in 2003 and 80 receptions for 1,382 yards and 11 TD's as a senior in 2004" 17.3yards/avg and 22.2y/avg in 2003
NOT BAD!!
Overall rank 71points and position rank of 15
the rank edwards first then, mike williams, williamson, clayton, then roddy white at 5th, reggie brown, parrish, chris henry, jerome mathis(fast mo fo),fred gibson, terrance murphey, matt jones, and courtney roby, and then mark bradley then our main man VJ which may mean he could be around a while possible 3rd rounder, over looked?
The 1 problem I have with that evaluation is, when I watched him at the combine he cut better than Williams he was impressive for a man of his size, that is a big thing with how I evaluate a WR, top end speed is not as important as the ability to cut and seperate, quickness gets you open speed will get you the deep passes, lets face it neither none of the big recievers will ever have the quickness of the smaller but do they make up for it with their long arms and body positioning? I think both Jackson and William's will. but in taking Jackson we get a very similar player and a CB it's a 2 for 1 situation I say we go for both rather than Williams.

let me add a foot note, Jackson looked very aggressive at the combine I like a guy who is fighting for all he's worth on every play they almost always find a way to succeed.

Re: who we gonna get?

i read one guy say that willams is like keyshawn in dallas, and i agree. look at his career not worth a number 9 pick in my book and even if he's going to be better in the long run it's going to take him at least a year to get going. he's been out a year and the competition is drastically better. he was done wrong by the ncaa no doubt. drop to the middle of first round for a 1st and additional 2nd or good player and a 2nd or 3rd and get cb carlos from auburn and a gurad reciever in later rounds. i really would like to get elton brand 6"6 346 and can move. here comes portis. maybe even a big grind it back in later rounds. it would also help inside the five:soapbox: :grouphug: :dallas:
No joke Matty, but I've been less interested in viewing this site because it's the same threads over & over. Maybe you or someone can make 1 thread a sticky & leave it at the top so everyone can chime in & not keep creating new threads just cuz they want to be heard.

I could easily post a weekly thread that would be about other important Skins issues besides who we draft'n?
again why do people have to be such bitches all the time. then don't view the thread god there others, it just seems you directed it toward me and that is why i am saying somin. you said "[People] keep creating new threads just cuz they want to be heard", wtf, i've made 3 threads compared to your ass that did 26 w/ less than 250 posts. damn hipacrit i made this so that it would be a centered place, i am sorry if wasn't nessassary. i mean if you didn't like it u could have just made a comment saying that we should have made a "sticky" thread or what ever and not have to repeat people are just "[wanting] to be heard" twice.

just be considerate i don't want this yelling back and forth any more its rediculus

Re: who we gonna get?
Are we going to keep creating new threads with the same question over & over...? This is starting to get ridiculous now!

Please everybody, look at the threads & read & chime into the those prev threads with your comments, yes I look through prev threads to see if anyone has added a comment, you don't have to create a new thread just to be heard.

Thanks for listening to my bitching!!!
Theres no reason to lash out at BigSkin for making this thread. If you actually read his first post, you would see that he clearly stated that this thread was meant to center everyones thoughts on the draft and everyones opinions on individual players could be organized into a meaningful discussion. This thread was definitely not created so he could "be heard". Maybe you made this post so you could start a conflict and you could gain attention. It was a good idea to put all the threads together but there was no need to make a "personal attack". Half of the posts on most threads are completely meaningless without any thoughtful insight and your post falls into this category. I dont post that much, I mainly read what people have to say. It seems like on every thread, there is at least one person who tries to start a conflict with another member (like in the Bailey thread, someone said that since we are all Redskins fans, there is no need to ignite conflicts).

You ended your post by thanking us for listening to your bitching. I mean this in the kindest way and I dont want to cause another fight, but bitching is for bitches so dont bitch. In other words, no meaningful discussions can take place if people always try to insult rather than give insight.

This post was directed at everyone not just ChounsMan.
