Re: Practice Squad eligibility and who the Skins added
I'm just saying it's way too early to be saying that Seastrunk can't develop into anything. That's ridiculous.

Re: Practice Squad eligibility and who the Skins added
I can't know it. I saw his speed though. If he had anything other than that, he would probably be on the roster. Did you see him every day in practice? [Sorry, if AR is the comparison, not a particularly convincing case. Three years in and he is still trying to show he can be a consistent receiver.]
Given his explosion, I have to believe the other areas of his game are so deficient that the coaches felt he was simply too far removed from being a pro that he just wasn't worth the effort. Maybe we will regret it, but I seriously doubt it. Quite frankly, I think this is simply Brandon Banks redux. Too small and too raw. He makes everyone's preseason all-star team only to disappear from view during the season. Sent from my VS985 4G using Tapatalk |

Lol he's not brandon banks part deux

Re: Practice Squad eligibility and who the Skins added
Lache is not Banks. But speaking of Banks, my biggest knock on Lache is that he has not found a way to return kicks. Probably his hands. He could be Hester-deadly in the return game.

Re: Practice Squad eligibility and who the Skins added
Brandon had lots of great preseason plays where he outran everyone. Folks defended him saying he was a playmaker and a home run hitter ... same things they are saying about Seastrunk now. Brandon then disappeared in the regular season.
His speed is undeniable but it takes a lot more than that to be a pro. Would he develop, maybe. Was he outplayed by another young guy (Redd) apparently so. If he can play, someone will pick him up. Barring an injury, I would not be surprised if he is not on a roster (including PS) come opening day. Sent from my VS985 4G using Tapatalk |
Re: Practice Squad eligibility and who the Skins added
I assume there is a bit of a bidding/appeal war for him right now. Would have thought we would hear something. Got 9 slots filled one left. I am sure we all would love to have the next Darren Sproles.

He has talent, talent has to be developed. The more the talent the higher the ceiling. |
Re: Practice Squad eligibility and who the Skins added
I heard he's received offers from the Redskins, Saints, and Texans. Who knows if that's accurate though, because I also read that the team wasn't planning on adding him to the squad

Reminds me of Marko Mitchell from years ago that got cut and people swore we would regret it. Dude couldn't even make it on a CFL team and probably flipping burgers right now. |
Re: Practice Squad eligibility and who the Skins added
seriously, why are some people so hyped on a guy that came in 3rd place for our #3 RB spot. he's not a guy that'll affect the W/L column in any meaningful way. he'll be on someone's PS this year and try to prove he has more than just speed next preseason.

Re: Practice Squad eligibility and who the Skins added
Well 31 other teams passed on Seastrunk and we don't even want him on the PS, so clearly there are issues that are not immediately apparent just from watching the pre-season games.
I'm over him already. :) |

No. I am arguing that speed alone does not equal an NFL talent. While it's true you can't coach speed, they are several other esential qualities that can't be coached either and he, apparently, is lacking in those. Sent from my VS985 4G using Tapatalk |

Re: Practice Squad eligibility and who the Skins added
Keim on twitter said Skins changed mind on Lache at last second about adding him to practice squad, so it looks like we will move on from him. Nobody claimed him to roster soooo. We still got a spot open, maybe thought the WR from Southern could be added.
