Hopefully his career is over. His play was already trending down and he's nearing 30. Now with all this drama who would want him?
per Greg Aiello, Goodell has now imposed an indefinite ban based on "new evidence".

The "new evidence" being the outrage expressed by the public after viewing what the NFL had already seen.

Goodell: "Ohhhhh. Man, I guess I didn't think it was all that wrong. I mean, the abuse victim said it was her fault. Who knew? My bad."

Based on how non-Raven players are reacting I'm guessing that there's more than a few players on the Ravens who have been outright embarrassed at how the team defended Ray Rice long before this latest video was released.

Oh by the by, our very own London Fletcher hit the nail right on the head.

@nflcommish to say you got that wrong is an understatement. Very disappointed in you. Wow...unbelievable.

Lol of course.

Hey does everyone remember how arrogant harbaugh appeared when addressing this situation? He got a lotta 'xplaining to do too.

Thinking there is a good chance both harbaugh bros could be in the college game next season

Remember this gem tweet? It was still up for most of the day until sometime this afternoon. Guess their PR finally decided....hey, maybe this was a dumbass idea.

I'm sorry I ended up as a punching bag. Boy, if that isn't a battered woman I don't know what is. She better start figuring out divorce papers before the money dries up.

Question I posed to SS today is do you really think this incident was the first time he's hit her? His demeanor in all of it seems like it's natural to him. (during and after)

I'd bet the house it's not the first time he hit her, or someone else. Hitting someone so brutally like that typically isn't a one time deal.

And her, too. She seems practiced in the excuses of the codependent beaten.

This is something I was wondering too. From all accounts it seemed like Ray Rice was a positive role model before this incident, does anybody know if this is uncharacteristic of him or is this one of those "nobody knows the guy behind the scenes" deals? Either way, with a hit like that, he deserves all the scorn thrown his way.

The thing that frustrates me the most is this:

The fact that they have a kid together makes this one big cluster. Even more than that, the thing that really scares me is that having Ray Rice for a Dad increases the risk that his daughter could easily end up attracted to abusive a-holes like, well Ray Rice, when she grows up.
How the abusive behavior of fathers effect their daughters?

The father-daughter relationship influences how grown-up daughters feel about themselves as women.

It can influence their choice of an intimate partner.

The daughters of an abusive father may, as an adult, be more susceptible to domestic violence, eating disorders, alcoholism or drug abuse and sexual promiscuity.
Granted its not guaranteed that Ray Rice's daughter will seek out abusive a-holes but just like many people with a family history of alcoholism need to be careful around booze (ie the alcoholism gene), people who are around abusive or traumatic experiences like domestic violence need to be careful, with, well basically everything when they grow up (dating, drugs, alcohol, eating habits).

I don't condone hitting women at all. Everyone is so PC now days but that video shows to drunk or almost there, people arguing her knock out blow was the railing. If he beats her ass every day then he got what he had coming. if was a moment of passion you have to take it with a grain of salt. She hit him first, he hit her back and now his life is ruined. I did not see rampage where she got the every living shit beat out of her. It is fucked situation and that is something they need to work out. All the people ypu see on camera are only thinking how they look and come off on camera. they had 7 months and they thought it was water under the bridge.

Never hit a woman.........

A moment of passion can do serious damage, likewise a single punch. When I was living in the city a guy died from a single punch to the head, out cold and head hit the sidewalk. This situation could have ended much worse.

There's just no defending it or rationalizing it. I wish people would stop trying to.

I dont and will never condone it. i dont apologize for my comment I hate bandwagoon folks.
