RG3 leaving the game.

Seriously? I am a long time Redskins fan, and did even have thoughts like this towards Heath Schuler. Griffin was an amazing, almost transcendent talent during the 2012 season pre-injury, and no one was down on him, when he was Rookie of the Year. Pretty classless comment to make.

Best to not feed the troll. You're just giving him what he wants.

You are right, after reading the whole thread just a lot of negativity from one guy, saden1, towards RG3, a most unhealthy, almost hatred, and aside from watching him on TV and being a fan saden1 has no relationship with RG3. It is pretty sad.

Positives:

Cousins - I dig Cousins. He's an above average QB and I think he will do just fine as starter while RG3 is gone. I'm not going to say he can ball yet, the Jags are f'ing terrible. We'll see how he does against the Eagles and definitely the Seahawks since they have an elite defense.

The receiving core - Roberts, Paul, Grant, Young, they all balled out. Roberts is also doing pretty well as our returner. Thank God for that off-season pickup.

The RBs - Morris, Helu and Redd looked damn good out there. Morris and Redd especially.

The LB core - THERE WAS EVEN AN ORAKPO SIGHTING. Kerrigan... Man... We need to lock him up as a lifetime Redskin. What an amazing show, man.

Trenton Robinson - Came in off the bench and got an INT. That's what you call pinch hitting.

J. Gruden - Props for calling a good game. After RG3 got injured you had to plan around Cousins, who isn't as mobile as RG (no more RO) but did well. Congrats.

Negatives:

RG3 getting injured - Jesus dude, are you ever going to make it through a season again without either sucking or getting injured? Granted, it was a freak injury, but it still sucks. It'll be interesting to see if he'll be able to come back this season, hopefully around the bye.

Polumbus - Man again with the horrible blocking. I totally saw him give up on one play. (I forget which) where they dude, literally RAN BY HIM.

Rambo - Dude, take a seat. Take several seats. You blow big floppy low hanging fruit.

D. Hall - Not only did you get a personal foul, you almost gave up a HUGE gainer downfield, luckily the Jags WR blew more than you did this game.

Not too much bad overall play. Just small individual things.

Re: Skins-Jags Positives and Negatives

I REALLLLLLLLLLLY wanted Rambo to work out (and Phillip Thomas for that matter), but it's not looking good.

No matter, I thought all the "Shanahan is meddling with Haslett" was kind of BS, but part of me really agrees. His defensive schemes looked creative and we had some rookies and backups really contributing. After seeing Chris Baker at NT, Cofield might be able to go back to DE and eat people up like he used to (not that he was bad at NT). LOVE me some Bashaud Breeland. Guy is going to pick up right where D. Hall leaves off when he goes.

Also, an unheralded guy is Trent Murphy. The stat line might not show him, but every time I see him he's either making a pressure or eating up blockers. Only a matter of time before he starts getting the sacks.

Ryan grant was impressive today. Too me, he's ahead of Robinson. I thought Robinson made a bad holding penalty and couldn't get a first when had blockers in front of him on another play.

I also find it interesting that gruden chooses to use miles paul as the pass catcher instead of Paulson. Paulson is used exclusively to block.

Did anyone notice when cousins came in, the Oline looked immediately better pass blocking? Cousins doesn't hold the ball, he reads and has a has quick trigger. I thought it was obvious between the 2.

Cousins did a very good job in his interview, he is certainly doing his best to downplay any idea of a QB controversy, "this is Robert's team, and my role hasn't changed," "Thats just the life of a backup quarterback." I don't buy it for a second, but I appreciate that he is trying to keep the focus on the team winning games, as futile as it is.

I don't know much about QB play but I could definitely see Cousins going through his reads. His head was on a swivel.

Yeah, but I think Paulson hands are better.

Everything except Rambo, penalties, and injuries were incredibly positive today. I hope we get good news on these injuries. Especially D Jax.

I heard DJax was a mild shoulder sprain and he should be back next week. I can't imagine him wanting to miss that Philly game.
