Re: Santana Moss
I can't use the word legend. But sadly he's one of the most memorable Redskins we've had during my adult life (1997 and forward).
Have to appreciate what we've had. He was a very good player and gave us a lot of fun moments. He was the original bubble screen threat, and clutch on double moves. |
Re: Santana Moss
I'm still twitching from the Roberts FA move, nothing we've seen says he was an upgrade over what we already had in Santana or that Roberts is anything to hold onto longterm. So I'm still asking who the hell is responsible for that wasted FA move? When we needed so much help at oline and the secondary?

Tough to rate a WR based on the QB play we have gotten this year...he'd probably look much better as would Garcon if we could get any consistency from the QB and Oline |
Re: Santana Moss
From what many have told me, I wish there were more people in the locker room like Santana when I was covering the team. Class guy all the way

Re: Santana Moss
Santana was a very solid receiver for the 'skins. The guy deserves some recognition, but I don't think I'd call him legend. But, that 2005 game against the Cowboys will be considered legendary.

Roberts is 26. Moss is 35. Pretty easy math. And if we had a decent QB/Oline I doubt you would have made that post. And pretty much everyone else on this board liked the Roberts acquisition. We signed him before Jackson. At that point all we had was Garcon. |

Gruden would have been smart to involve him as much as possible on the field and put him in a leadership role. It's something the locker room needed with Fletcher leaving especially. Have I mentioned Gruden seems to be a shitty HC? |
Re: Santana Moss
Interesting to read the 2 threads of Moss and Fletcher, both guys who played well on the Skins but one seems to be considered a leader and an asshole and another who quietly went about his business being a professional.
Wonder what the teamates think of both? |

Jackson "the accidental free agent move" performs regardless of who is under center. Garcon is not top tier to me anymore. |
Re: Santana Moss
Hey, yer legend just got ejected from the game.
Maybe he could reference that in his HOF speech. |

Pain....a lot of pain....

Re: Santana Moss
Santana is one of my favorites of all-time. LOVED seeing that passion from him today.

Re: Santana Moss
Sometimes the referees need to have that happen to them. Santana gets my respect for jawing to the officials. The NFL, in terms of officiating, at least to me, have been sliding in terms of quality over the last few years. I don't know how they select who they select, but it is adamant that poor officiating is determining the outcomes of games, more and more.
Hopefully the NFL reviews the play and at the very least disciplines the official for what was clearly one of the most blatant examples of "poor call" that i have ever seen... |
Re: Santana Moss
I also wanted to add that in my mind - Jeff Triplett has to be near or at the bottom in terms of NFL officials.
Isn't Triplett the same guy who years later admitted to purposely throwing that flag at Orlando Brown because he didn't like him? And then he followed that up by throwing one at that Jaguars player? |
