Re: Your First round pick for the skins?
Right. Not sure how people took my comment, but a better Adam Carriker was a complement. Really tough against the run and I'll take that.

Re: Your First round pick for the skins?
I would really like us to shift to the Seattle base defense. The 3-4 is not working here IMO

Totally agree.... |
Re: Your First round pick for the skins?
I'd say the best thing to do is get a safety 1st round just because there is more depth at O-line in this draft than safety. I think Collins is like a 8-11 pick, so maybe we could even move back and still get him. If you do that you could use the extra picks to move up to late 1st round for an OL. Being a 1st rounder means an extra year on the rookie contract.

Re: Your First round pick for the skins?
We likely will have a top 6 pick. You don't use such a pick on the OL except for LT, and we already have one of those. Paying two LT salaries is a cap buster. So IMO we don't draft a tackle right away.
Alternatively: Landon Collins, the Alabama safety as folks have discussed Or: Shawn Oakman, DE, Baylor. Feed the defensive front. Or: trade back into the later first, picking up a second rounder, then: late first: Ronnie Stanley, OT, Notre Dame early second: AJ Cann, guard, South Carolina late second (from trade): Derron Smith, FS, Fresno St. |

I thought Peat announced he was returning to school ............................................................................... It looks like they now have a top 4 pick.....maybe they will trade up and get a QB |
Re: Your First round pick for the skins?
Take the best lineman available, offensive or defensive. The Skins have invested fewer high draft choices on linemen of all teams in the NFC East, so it's no wonder that the team sucks in the trenches.
I would really like us to shift to the Seattle base defense. The 3-4 is not working here IMO
The 3-4 requires a great Nose Tackle to achieve dominance, and there are very few athletic 340 pound men on the planet.

And in my opinion there is only worth 1 QB talking about. Wouldnt Saden be thrilled |
Re: Your First round pick for the skins?
On the S front, here are some encouraging news and I like what I've seen:
2. One young player who will get some more playing time is Phillip Thomas. Brandon Meriweather did not practice yesterday and the word is that he will be out the last two games. Both Gruden and Jim Haslett have been impressed with him. Haslett said that Thomas really cut down on the mistakes a lot last week in his second start. Certainly nobody is willing to say that he’s the 2015 starter but it seems that he’s earning himself a shot. |

Re: Your First round pick for the skins?
O line has to be addressed first. I dont care if put Rogers, Brady, Luck, or Wilson back there..they would all get killed

Since we beat Jax, they likely have to win more to influence our pick. Edit: I was wrong since strength of schedule determines things. We stand right now #5. |
