Williams and Scherff would make one hell of a dominant left side of our OL .
Too big a leap to assume Moses can return from Lisfranc to be an adequate starting RT, even by week 9. Scherff has to take RT. No other scenario works. |
Re: 2015 Week 9 Offensive Line Starters
I do think Kouandjio takes out Lauvao as long as Kouandjio is healthy. I think Chester holds off Long somehow and keeps his job. I think Long will be a disappointment all said and done.
McLeRib gets cut in training camp. |

Might happen. Who knows. There will be a different run-blocking scheme this year so it really comes down to who can adapt well. Chester has experience, have to like his chances at figuring things out. And it's not like Chester is small, he's listed 6'3" 303. But everyone at Redskins park knows they're switching to a power scheme. Chester (and everyone else) has 4 months to add 10 pounds of muscle. |

Our O-line is being asked to be a different type of line than in the past. Plus they now have a great O-line coach who is very good at developing/molding players. You never know who can benefit the most from these significant changes, it may be someone completely unexpected. Spencer Long Morgan Moses Tom Compton at guard Chris Chester Xavier Nixon Josh LeRibeus We have some size and numbers as backups at O-line. What if a Tom Compton or Xavier Nixon suddenly blossomed? Or an UDFA? |

And God help him if he shows up to training camp completely out of shape again. |

A 3rd round pick. We wasted a fu#*ing 3rd round pick on that asshat. |

T. Williams, Kouandjio, lich, moses, scherrf

Williams, Lauvao, Kory L., Long, Sherff

Re: 2015 Week 9 Offensive Line Starters
LT: Williams
LG: Long/Moses C: Lich RG: Lauvao RT: Scherff Don't remember what show specifically, but I heard in 980 that they believe Lauvao's best spot is at RG. I hope this becomes a very good offensive line that can create a dominant running game, creating a team less dependent on the passing game. If we become a run first team, a lot of pressure will be off whoever is at QB. Hopefully we can pull wins like Seattle does, where their QB only has to throw the ball 15-16 times a game. |

I have lost hope in him too. i just listed him because he is still on the roster. But he is not a mauler-type that we want. |

Lauvao seems more of a RG than LG but we did not have someone better to play LG. There are certain O-lineman that are incredibly better at one particular position than the others. in fact they could suck at all the other 4 positions but be really good at one. I beginning to get the impression that is the case with Morgan Moses and the Left tackle position. At UVA he was a not so good RT, but then his senior year UVA moved him to LT and he blossomed. Last season he struggled at RT for us. I wonder in a very hypothetical situation IF (and that is a big IF) Morgan Moses can be mentored enough and given more of a chance to play LT more that he could become a good NFL LT. |

didn't they trade up to get McRib, a player no one had rated as a 3rd round pick |

No they didn't (thank goodness), and nobody had him rated that high including McRib himself. |
