And I'm pretty sure they lead the time of possession on offense, 41+ minutes today. |
That's right Scherff, Smith, Jones, Crowder, Jarrett are all making an impact, we'll have to wait for Spaight next year and also some of the undrafted FA contributing.
Agreed. Most McC decisions so far seem good. Draft picks are promising and FA picks like Knighton, Francois, Goldson, Culliver, Paea -- all seem like a good moves so far. McC's rebuilt front seven has allowed us to avoid blitzing, Spec teams got better with new kicker and probably Ross. Not to mention the cuts have been smart -- cutting Amerson, Forbath -- sending messages to team. But biggest thing is locker room, seems cohesive, everyone playing for each other and defending each other. Felt like with Griffin in there, it was always a circus with who said this, etc -- and now they're talking about playing hurt and going out to dinners together. |

To be fair, even Griffin was encouraging his teammates. I love the fact that despite all the shit, he's still out there cheering everyone on. |

Thought the playcalling was good for the most part.
They kept the run game going all game, even though it wasn't always easy. I would like to see them run on 2nd down more though and not be as heavy handed towards 1st down runs. Gotta make the D respect the run even on 2nd downs. Would also like to see more balance on 1st downs, right now we're heavy handed towards run on 1st down. Liked not having Roberts out there wasting targets. Liked going to Garcon durng crunch time, key situations think of players. Didn't like phasing Alf out of goalline carries. Liked Crowder out there making plays. |
Knighton was double and even triple teamed all day. Kerrigan's free shots were directly attributable to Knighton's presence. I also thought there were several runs he pushed the line back.
Sent from my S6 Edge
I respectfully disagree. Pot Roast played a total of 19 snaps. He was double teamed 4 times: 0:51 left in 1st quarter, 1st and 10: gets doubled teamed and pushed out of the hole Demarco Murray runs 30 yards through the hole he just got pushed out of. 15:00 left in 3rd quarter, 1st and 10 he was double teamed 11:25 left in 4th quarter, 1st and 10 double teamed 10:07 left in 4th quarter, 1st and 10 double teamed Pot Roast was never triple teamed. When Kerrigan came free to the QB Pot Roast wasn't in the game: 3rd and 7 with 14:54 left in the 2nd quarter and 3rd and 7 with 8:35 left in the 3rd quarter. On the 15 snaps when he was 1 v 1 he pushed the pocket once or twice. Will wager Cooley grades him very badly on the film breakdown this week. He needs to lose 50 to 60 pounds and get in better shape. He has no push at all if he has to stay in for two plays in a row. Totally agree on Keenan. Bad Mofo. |

Sent from my S6 Edge
I may have missed one. I tried to watch the plays where he was double teamed a couple of times to be sure, but I may have overlooked one. With his snap count so low, it's relatively easy to watch his plays and fast forward through the rest. Check it out and see what you think. |
