Re: Not good Taylor news
Maybe Sean Taylor isn't that bad... I just read this in Mark Maske's Washington Post column, "Safety Mike Doss rejoined the Indianapolis Colts on Thursday and participated in the club's voluntary workout. Doss issued a public apology after being arrested in Akron, Ohio, last weekend for allegedly firing a handgun into the air outside a crowded nightclub. A grand jury in Akron is to determine early next week whether he will be indicted on gun-related charges, and he could face additional penalties from the Colts or the league . . . ."

Re: Not good Taylor news
It gets worse and worse. Apparently, he fired shots at the house of some people who he thought stole his all terain vehicle. If this is true, he probably won't be back on the field as a redskin, IMO. we'll see.

Re: Not good Taylor news
Yep. If this is rights, he's done.

Re: Not good Taylor news
Unbelievable. I am just stunned.:frusty:

Re: Not good Taylor news
Well, at least he won't be holding out for a new contract.
What a pathetic waste of such a tremendous talent. |
Re: Not good Taylor news
This is sounding really bad, firing shots at a house??
WTF? If this is true this guy is a complete jackass and a real embarassment to the franchise. I'm going to hold out hope that we haven't heard the entire story and perhaps he is innocent, but it sure isn't looking good right now. What are we gonna do with this guy??!! |

Re: Not good Taylor news
Don't worry Matty, if anything happens I won't pull a CRT3 and demand an avator change.... :)
But seriously.....look at the avator. It's almost like he's saying, "What the f#ck am I doing here?" |

Seriously, we can't afford to cut him unless this kind of thing voids some part of his contract. 6 mil cap hit. Maybe he should be forced to ride the bench for the season. He can't stand that. Someone needs to show this kid that he has crossed the line, for his own good. Of course, it may be the police, not he Skins that end up doing it. |
Re: Not good Taylor news
If there is a warrant, that mean's there's probable cause - which means there's a good chance he committed the crime.

Re: Not good Taylor news
oh well what's done is done. damn him and the draft pick we wasted on him. i wouldn't even consider releasing a player of his caliber, i would trade him.

Re: Not good Taylor news
I figured it would be worth seeing what's going on with a similar situation in Indy with Mike Doss, I'm not holding my breath for an apology from Taylor if and when he ever shows up in DC:
http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/news/story?id=2074512 INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. -- Mike Doss returned to practice Thursday with the Indianapolis Colts and apologized for being arrested last weekend. The Colts' starting strong safety is facing a felony weapons charge and three misdemeanor charges after Akron, Ohio, police estimated hearing five to six gunshots outside a local restaurant early Sunday. Doss missed the team's voluntary workout Tuesday to take care of his legal matters and was a no-show Wednesday. When he returned Thursday, Doss wasted no time in making amends. "First off, I'd like to apologize to the organization, the Indianapolis Colts," he said. "I apologize to my teammates. We don't need this distraction going." Doss, taken in the second round of the 2003 draft from Ohio State, has 150 career tackles and had three career interceptions over two seasons. He faces charges of carrying a concealed weapon, inducing panic, obstructing official business and discharging a weapon within the city limits. He also could face discipline by the NFL. Colts coach Tony Dungy, who has said Doss would be disciplined by the team, said he hoped things would return to normal now. "It's a difficult time for all of us," Dungy said. "You don't want to see anything happen to any part of your family. I think we have stood behind Mike and will continue to do that." Doss has not entered a plea but has signed papers that will allow a Summit County grand jury to consider whether there are grounds for the charges. The grand jury is scheduled to meet Friday. "For my family and for myself, everything will get handled through the judicial system," Doss said. "I will go from there." |
Re: Not good Taylor news
Don't release him, because then he'd hit the open market and get a sweet deal. Trade him somewhere, to the team he'd hate to be on most, so he would be forced to keep the shitty deal he signed as a rookie.
Punish him as much as humanly possible. Send him to a shitty team along with his shitty contract. I'm holding out hope that he's an innocent bystander in all this. But if he's involved criminally, ship him out. |
