Re: Cars
I thought it was because a lot of people like to be up high. Personally, I think you should need a special license to get a larger vehicle. To prove that you can a) drive it. b) Need it what so ever.
We wonder why we're so dependant on foreign countries for oil. I had a friend in high school getting 4 MPG. |
Re: Cars
btw, Cpayne. Is that the Rivers, and Trucks, and Microinvertebrates OH MY river?

Re: Cars
Buying a mini van is something that my wife and I have sworn never to do. We hate the entire "Soccer Mom" revolution. We also refuse to put permanant stickers on our car.
The down side, she likes mercedes. Damn! |
Re: Cars
I'll take practically any car that doesn't feel like the wheels are about to bust out from underneath the car while driving it cuz that isn't too fun of a feeling.
some of my dream cars would be a modernized 1969 Pontiac GTO Judge, a modernized 1969 Ford Mustang Mach 1 or 1970 Mustang Boss, or an Audi S4. plus it'd be really kewl to one day have the money to have a hot rod put together like on the American Hot Rod show on discovery. |

That is the exact spot! |
Re: Cars
I have to disagree with most of you on women driving SUV's. I have three children a wife and a dog. I will not be caught dead driving a mini van so I forced my wife into getting herself an SUV. When we take trips home up 95 I usually drive, but she is the primary driver when we are here.
I also am a car enthusiast and have to have my own ride. I recently sold my 1997 Eclipse and am about to purchase the 2006 Pontiac GTO as soon as it is available. There is something about a car that has 400hp and 400lbs ft torque that compells me.
Awesome. After you've had it for a while, tell me how you like the LS2. |
Re: Cars

I personally decided I didn't want a civic anymore after Fast and the Furious came out and everyone seemed to start getting them. |

I know how u feel, my 91 ford taurus has seen better days & is falling apart around me and forcing my hand on me getting another car before I had actually planned on it. |

I love fast cars and I love to go off roading, but I have a Civic as well. It's a great, reliable, economical commuter car. I bougth mine brand new a little over 4 years ago and have had zero problems. It's got 110k miles on it right now, and it still gets 40mpg. For college, I drove 50 miles one way for 4 years. My job now requires me to drive 58 miles one way. Am I going to drive my 4Runner everyday? Heck no. Not while my Civic continues to be reliable and gets 40mpg. |
Re: Cars
I have a 2001 Chevy Silverodo crew cab and love it.It's almost at 75,000 and still running great. But I drive 60 miles a day to work so the gas is killing me. Maybe I sould get a civic to drive during the week. :pi_lightb

Re: Cars
I've been debating on getting an old ass Civic to drive on longer trips. For about $2000 I can get one with about 100k on it and save that much in gas in a couple years.
