No way we can keep Payne, Sweat, and Chase.
It's a good problem to have. But 1 of them is likely gone in the next couple years. Payne is a must keep in my eyes. Imo, it comes down to production vs. potential. For keeping Sweat or Young.
Let’s not forget we got Mathis waiting in the wings. |
COMMANDERS BYE WEEK THREAD
Go Eagles, Go Panthers. If Carolina can win tonight we are looking at a real good situation if we beat the Vagiants next week at home. Even if Seattle wins we are still in a great position if we win next week. Basically three weeks preparing for the same team and a bye week while they get beat up by Philly. No excuses for Ron and Co to come out flat next week.

Agreed. Lose that game, and they don't belong in the conversation - at all. |

Payne is much better lined up at nose in the 0-1 tech much like Allen which gives us redundancy. Mathis is a much more natural 3 tech which is what Payne has been playing for most of his career. I really don't know what they will do. |

Rooting for Panthers, Vikings, Texans, Eagles (:puke:), and Buccaneers this week.

If we have no stud OL player to pay, use the money on the DL/DE and draft Young inexpensive OLinemen. Young’s contract might not be so bad as he’s coming from injury and who knows how long before he regains his old form. |

I think all will win with the exception of the Buccaneers and Texans. |

Going cheap two years in a row on Oline is a bold move! In all honesty though that is probably the only way they afford all three down the road. It could definitely be worth the risk if Howell pans out and can get quality draft. |

Would you have kicked the FG or gone for it like Lovie? I go FG, but I reckon Lovie hates us. :) |

probably an 18-24month type injury, so sometime next year. |

I would have taken the points and kicked the FG. Not converting gave them girls new life. |

Knew that would happen, their offense can't keep up |
Re: COMMANDERS BYE WEEK THREAD
So after Wentz is released we will $45.5 million in cap space plus whatever the cap goes up to next year? I would resign Payne, Sweat, Curl, Wise, Gibson, maybe Holcomb if there is enough $$. Might need to trade cut Logan Thomas and Roullier.
