Re: Around the League: NFL Free Agent Signings
I think they saw him as a 1 trick pony, no good vs run. And we must up run D. Liked what he did, but 8M for a situational guy that's never really lived up to his draft status? All signs point to a DE @ #29, or 2nd round with a trade back.
Must have seen him as a 1 trick pony. Even if he was situational, 10.5 sacks yearly is worth keeping. He's money on passing downs. Either way wish he stayed. I'll trust in Peters but no doubt big changes coming to the dline.

Re: Around the League: NFL Free Agent Signings
I think he probably wanted more money than the team was offering (until it dried up and he realized he wasn't getting the big deal he thought he deserved). By then I'm assuming the team had moved on (or bad blood or whatever).

Bengals paid both Chase and Higgins.

Bengals are going to score points and put up numbers but that's about it.

Re: Around the League: NFL Free Agent Signings
They’re not going to be able to pay too many more people. They’ll have great WRs and a great QB but they better hit paydirt in the draft or they’ll be screwed.
