Re: Does 9-7 Get Us In?
Simple question....I know this is the 9-7 thread
But can 10-6 get us in?? |
Re: Does 9-7 Get Us In?
With the way they've been playing, I don't see them winning more than 2 games for the rest of the way -- Arizona and Philly. And their likely to drop one of those.
There's no other way to put it. This team is in freefall.
AHHH, a fan that looks at the TRUE picture. We cant stop the pass, both St louis and Arizona have decent passing attacks. Arizona get Boldin back, OUCH Giants and Cowboys are playing really good football. We could beat Dallas, but I dont see us beating the Giants and their offense, plus the defense is playing well. Maybe we beat Philly, but they didn't look bad the last game w/ Mcmann at QB. More plays for Westbrook, which he usually kills us. Maybe two more wins, which let see, that puts us at 7-9 ANOTHER LOSING SEASON, As it is usually said around this year every year, we'll be better next year!! I will believe it when I see it |
Re: Does 9-7 Get Us In?
I just don't understand why you keep saying that. The Chargers are one of the best teams in football. It's not embarrassing to lose to them, regardless of circumstance. The Rams are NOT GOOD, why would we lose to them? They had to make a miracle comeback against the Texans, who are generally regarded as one of the worst teams ever. An absolute miracle. They were outplayed by the odds-on favorites to win the Reggie Bush sweepstakes. Sorry, but we won't lose that one.
Then we will beat the Cards, I agree. And we'll beat the Eagles, who yielded 100+ yards to Samkon Gado and barely snuck one out against the decimated Packers in their own house. That means, to go 9-7, we only have to win one of the Giants/Cowboys games at FedEx. I'm not saying we will or we won't, but there's certainly a chance we do that.
We couldn't beat the sorry Raiders, at HOME!! what makes you think we can beat anybody on the road? the Rams will throw the ball all over the field against us. they have multiple weapons, bruce, holt, jackson, arizona has Fitzgerald, Boldin, Warner, who has been putting up some numbers. If we win one of those I would be suprised. |
Re: Does 9-7 Get Us In?
Whether 9-7 or 10-6 the skins have to win the division to get in because I just dont see them having a good enought record to get a wild card.

Re: Does 9-7 Get Us In?
56fanatic you have got to be kidding me,the giants are playing good football?i guess if you call 16 penalties(11 false starts)and 3 missed field goals playing good, than you must think the skins are playing great!the only thing that saves the giants is tiki, having an all pro season

I agree. I also think winning the division is our best chance to make it in. What we need to do is sweep our last 3 games. This will gain a game back on Dallas and the Giants and will give us the best division record and thus all tiebreakers in the division. Then we just have to gain one more game on Dallas and the Giants and we'll be in. |

From this statement, it sounds as though you don't think the Giants are playing very good football, because they played last week, like Washington has been playing the past several weeks. And yet, Washington(5-6) is supposedly better than New York(7-4)? The way Washington has been playing is they way they're going to play for the rest of the season. The games will be close, but the magic was used up at the beginning of the season, so they'll be lucky to win two of the last five. The unrelenting optimism is admirable, but people have to be realistic. You can't will the Redskins into the playoffs. |
Re: Does 9-7 Get Us In?
earlier it was posted that we should root fot he giants
but wouldnt it be better for us if dallas won? giants have a far easier scheduel than the cowboys, and could run the table after the cowboys game cowboys still have kc and carolina to play, while the giants play kc and oakland my point is, the cowboys are more likely to lose 2 out of 5 games than the giants are if we are to make the playoffs, i think we have to run the table and win the division so, wouldnt it be better if the cowboys beat the giants? |
Re: Does 9-7 Get Us In?
VERY much so....Better cowgirls but if G-strings win then they must drop 1 to K.C. at home or road loss to Philly or Oak. I think we are sitting kinda pretty because of schedule! But there is that thing about winning out..(cough cough).
If we just pull out next two....I honestly think we can get fired up for last three div games......:duel: 2 in a row would light a fire under our confidence for sure!!!!! |
Re: Does 9-7 Get Us In?
9-7 will defenetly not get you in for your team to get in they need to win the division and 9-7 means that both the giants and cowboys must lose 3 and given the fact that they face each other this week that means that 1 of the teams must win 1 out of 4 wich isn't hard looking that NY will face PHI and Oak that are surely thinking in 2006 and dallas faces STL wich also is thinking 2006 and Oak and STL are in the last week wich if they have 0 chances of getting in wich they allready almost have and looking as they aren't division foes they surelly won't play full speed.
Been realistic 10 -6 is your only real shot to make it and hoping each team loses 2 games |

Atlanta is in the way and they must lose 3 to @bears,@tampa,@carolina, and carolina. obviously the cowboys have a higher chance to get the wild card at 9-7 but the skins need the cowboys to lose 2 of @giants, KC and @carolina and beat the cowgirls |
Re: Does 9-7 Get Us In?
Wild Card is LONNNNNNG shot at best....Cboyz is right 10-6....but to get there we win out(cough cough) so that only means the winner of Dallas Giants has to drop only 1 more game...Oh yeah did i say cough cough...:Smoker: VERY Possible though with both at home and two weaker teams coming up!
