Thrash is definitely on the team because of his special teams play. I would give the nod to Patten over Espy because of the contract and Patten is more of a proven commodity. Farris hurt himself by dropping the T.D.

Is Jimoh a Spurrier guy (In no way am I implying that he should go)? I was thinking that Betts was too.

Yeah but it's something about TJ that just rang Spurrier all the way. He was his boy, yet another Florida reject who was a product of that retarded fun 'n' gun crap. The other guys we have on the roster from that time are at least productive like Betts, Cartwright and Dockery. Jacobs was just a waste.

Kind of an ironic trade I thought that Rumph would be a big time CB coming out he just never materilized, but if anyone remembers he was the player who stuck his arm out last season trying to arm tackle someone caught the players shin or thigh and you could watch his arm snap as it flapped around the players leg on impact.

Bottom line both were going to be released, both have talent, it's really no risk on either party to see if a change in scenery, or coaching can jump start thier carreer's. Better than nothing who know's Williams just might be able to get this guy going.

I don't even know how I didn't see this. I checked the main page twice just to make sure it hadn't been posted already, and i swear it wasn't on there.

Anyways, I wonder if this fresh start is gonna help Jacobs, i think so, he could develop into a slot receiver in SF or possibly a #2, because I have no clue about Arnaz Battle and Antonio Bryant is the #1.

not unless he has a strong camp and in the remaining 3 games. Gilmore and Brandon Williams have the 3rd and 4th spots right now. With us running 2 TE sets the 3rd and 4th roles will diminish. we wont have many receivers in the slot unless VD is split out wide.

Are we keeping only 5? WIll it be moss are lloyd patten thrash? Do we get six? Lets just put the top three aside. That leaves 2-3 spots for 4 guys, espy, thrash, farris, and patten. I say we keep three and let farris and espy fight for it to the death. Patten gonna make this team? i think so but i like both espy and farris. I have a problem with attachment with our WRs. and speaking of players i used to like... what ever happened to rich parsons? He was the man. I don't think he ever caught a ball but i liked him for some reason. I wonder how his life is turning out.

To me, Jimmy Farris isn't that far from Taylor Jacobs. He had his chance last season too, when Patten and Thrash went down. If Espy continues to make noise, I think he edges out Farris. For whatever reason, there's a "groupie" mentality for certain players who are on the bubble trying to make the team every preseason and it always seems to be wide receivers. Remember Justin Skaggs? A year or so later it was Cliff Russell, now Jimmy Farris appears to be the new golden boy. I don't get it.

So, I think it'll be Patten at #4, and Thrash at the 5th wideout spot. Problem is, not all 5 WRs will be active for every game. I figure Thrash will wind up getting more playing time throughout the year for his special teams play. Espy will be on the practice squad.

farris' work on special teams might just let him slip on by. Jimmy is a gangster too. Last year, before a game, i am pretty sure he came out of a maybach and he came by with chains down to his stomach and lots of baggy cloths. He is the man.
